I had an appointment with new tub again January 12th at 10am to redo my tub. At 9:15am I received a text stating they would be at my house around noon. I had another engagement at noon so ******* showed up a little after 10am as originally scheduled. He did the tub and scheduled another appointment for the following day to reglaze my sinks.He told me he would come between 10am and 11am and text me the exact time the next day.At 10:15 I text him asking when he was coming. I never received an answer. Monday I texted again. Crickets.... Still no response.My contractor came Monday morning and showed me the mess he left behind and the horrible job done. There are many missed spots. He did not prep properly and oversprayed on my brand new fixtures and the travertine floor. There are multiple missed spots where he didn't tape correctly.I have yet to get a response from the company.BEWAREInitial Complaint

I hired this company to reglaze both bathrooms and kitchen backsplash in the middle of October. He was more affordable than the other companies, and this is a home I was selling. He came, and I had *********** at the home when he showed up. I was told he didnt prep the surfaces or use the right materials. Its obvious after seeing his work they are telling me the truth. There is bubbling and cracking all over along with runs in the paint. Furthermore, he didnt even use the right material. Its very rough and not smooth likes its supposed to be. I didnt give me a receipt or any paperwork for the so called 5 year warranty either. He doesnt return calls or texts. He is a thief.Initial Complaint

I was given a verbal quote for materials to paint the inside of some metal windows of a home I just purchased. I paid upfront $700 and have yet to see anything done. I have contacted the owner multiple times and he has a different excuse every time why he has not started. This was 2 weeks ago. I did finally go to his website and I see multiple bad reviews that are similar to mine.Initial Complaint

*********************** took $175 from me and will not do the work he was hired to do nor will he return my calls. He is a thief, liar, scammer and should be locked up. He continues to get away with this behavior. I wish I would have done my research a little better before giving this individual any money. He doesn't even care. His response is 'No Problem" . He doesn't plan on nor did he ever plan on doing the work or refunding my money. He also leads people to believe that he is associated with "The Tub Guy" who has a great reputation.Initial Complaint

My granddaughter got a clawfoot tub that needed to be reglazed. We were given this name and number to have it done. I tried to call and while the phone was ringing I got a text telling me to send them a text and explain my problem, We text the number back and was told it would be $400 to re-do the tub. I said we were interested and they asked for an address to come look at the tub. A man showed the next day and told my granddaughter that "his team" would be able to do it in two days and asked for $240.00 down payment. She told him all she had was $200 which he took and we have not had any contact with him. We have tried daily to get in touch with him but we get no response.Initial Complaint

In October this year, my son called Mike L. of New Again Tub & Tile to reglaze my aging shower and tub. I was happy to have my son (his name on receipt) help with this as I am a senior woman living alone. Mike quoted $500 for the job and said he would be out that afternoon to start the job. He arrived and spent about 15 minutes in my bathroom running a sander for a few minutes, then smearing some brownish product over some of my tiles. He also applied a couple feet of masking tape to some surfaces that weren't to be painted. (Having viewed several "how to" You Tube videos, I knew that "prepping" was the hardest part of the job which could take many hours.) When Mike was "finished" he came out and said he needed half the money down so he could finish the job the next day. When I said I'd write a check, he told me he wanted cash and there would be a $40 extra charge if I paid by check. I'm just a thrifty old person, I guess, so my son and I dug through wallets and my Christmas money and handed him $250 cash. That was the last we saw of Mike. He didn't show up on Sunday "after church" to finish the job, he did not call, and did not answer our many calls over the next couple of days. He left my bathroom a mess (see pic). It was then that we read this guy's reviews. Every single one was negative and all told the same or similar stories of the disappearing Mike L.. After two weeks, my son called once again and left a message saying we'd let him keep $50 for his 15 minutes of work if he would return $200. No surprise: no response. I looked into small claims court, but there's an $80 filing fee and costs for the process server. I can't afford to throw good money after bad. I would never let him back into my house to "finish" the job but I sure would like my money back. How is it possible that scoundrels like this keep ripping people off with no repercussions? Is there anything BBB can do to help? If not, could you direct me to some agency that could?Initial Complaint

On Nov 1, 2021 Owner Mike came to my apt at **** * ******* ** *** *** in *********** FL to estimate a Tub reglaze. He claimed he needed a 50% deposit of total quoted price 250.00 for materials to begin work. I gave him 220.00 and he promised to come back the next day. He did not return. Instead. Txt msg: Mike: This morning I apologize I had an emergency set me back 3 hours is there any way we can do it tomorrow Cousin just passed away Me: Omg. So sorry to hear that!! She was only 46 she got vaccinated caught covid died of a heart attack after covid said it was covered related no underlying issues at all 10-year-old son and a 13-year-old son They're only caretaker is my aunt which is 71 says she does not want to live another day since her only child had just died.... (txt msg continued with details about family) Nov. 5th Me: Since you were unable to get back to me with an eta I had to commit to another vendor. So I would really like to end this situation on friendly terms. I'm very sorry for your difficulties and wish you the best. Please do the right thing and return my 220.00😊 On Nov. 5th Mike: Monday? I have asked repeatedly since 11/5 for a refund of my deposit. No response at all.Initial Complaint

Reglaze my Shower Surround.. on November 9th between 1 and 2 p.m. Never showed up, no text messages, He called back 1 time, by then I had could not trust him, and just wanted my money back, and he would not refund my money.. Since then he, Will not respond to phone call messages or phone calls.. No contact to resolve issue. I even offered a refund to me for $250.0 instead of the $350.00 he stole from me. I will accept cash refund of $250.00
