I purchased furniture for myself using my friends credit score. They persuaded us to add insurance so of anything happens to the furniture, we’d be able to file a claim and get them repair. However, my friend and I aren’t together anymore and we cut ties. My number and address is on the form but my name isn’t. I wasn’t told of my name wasn’t on it I can’t do anything. That’s ok; but my problem is how can I not make the company reach out to my friend due to me can’t getting a hold of her….they keep sending me to the claims department then back to the furniture store like I’m tired of it Why took my money now giving me run around? I’m asking for some assistance please I paid almost 3000 for those furniture All I need is to get the damaged furniture replaced That’s all I’m not asking for a refund Ofc my name isn’t on it but the furniture is at my house at my address and my number is in the account and also I have all the paper works in my possession Purchase date :feb 23, 2022 Location: 731 E 23rd st, Panama City Fl 32405Business response

Please look at the attachment Ms. **** provided of the original sales ticket, dated 2/23/2022. Note that the ticket is in her friend’s name as well as the phone number is not that of Ms. ****’s. The furniture was financed by the friend just as Ms. **** stated. The “insurance” is the 5-year Guardian Accidental Protection Plan. Guardian is a third-party insurance plan we offer our customers to protect their purchases from any accidental damages. Decisions on what is covered are not made by Ashley Furniture, but by the Guardian Insurance Company. Pamphlets and flyers are available in the stores outlining the coverage. The information that the customer provides to Guardian when filing the claim is used when they determine if the claim is covered under the plan details. The furniture has a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty, which, in this case expired in 2/2023, 1-yr after delivery. Any claims for service should be filed with Guardian. Although we sympathize with Ms. **** situation, it is her friend who is our customer. We cannot provide any more information due to this fact. I will attach the Service Request Report Ms. **** opened with us on 10/25/2023 and the comments of her friend. The service that Ms. **** is looking to have done on the furniture would need to done through Guardian, though she may have the same outcome.
