I ordered and paid for 22 fabric hurricane screens for my home in January of 2022. *******, owner of Kade Construction indicated delivery time would be 3 to 4 months. Now, ***************************************************************************** mis-cut several times. I have received an endless assortment of excuses for the delays. He has made delivery appointments and each time he has been no call-no show. I want full refund for the screens and installation service I did not receive, that being $692.00. Refund due for the 3 missing fabric panels and fasteners: Contract total- $6216.00. Paid as follows:Date: 1/6/22 Check #**** amount: $2072.00 Date: 4/14/22 Check #**** Amount: $2072.00 Date 4/18/22 Amount: $2072.00 Paid online, receipt uploaded/ attached.Contract total- $6216.00 Exclude- Hurricane glass window replacement 3rd flr bathroom= $1500 $6216-$1500= $4716 Total panels to be provided= 22 Actual panels provided= 19 $4716/22 panels= $214.30 each.214 * 3= $642.Plus $50.00 for screen fasteners.Total refund is $692.00 due immediately.Business response

I have emailed **************** explaining we have the 3 missing screens on multiple occasions with no response. Most recently, I asked if we could come out this Friday at 7:30am to fit them and deliver. He said he will get back to me yet I have not heard back from him. Unfortunately, we cannot just come out at the drop of a hat as this has to be scheduled in advance due to other customer commitments. Furthermore, the screens are not worth the amount of refund he is requesting. The total amount of fabric is worth approximately $350.00. These particular screens are small with a width of 17 and a height of 117 and the price is based off the square footage. His assessment is incorrect, and he has no basis for his monetary request. The screens that are in question are 3 of the smallest screens on his entire home for which we have already installed 19. Unfortunately, the manufacturer made 2 production errors for which we have been trying to correct. We have not and are not abandoning the customer and have been trying to rectify the situation. With the customer traveling out of the country for a couple of months and not communicating with us when we contact him, we are unable to finalize the project. If we were not making any effort to correct the issue, this complaint would have validity.
Unfortunately, we have experienced delays with material in the construction industry. Yes, this has taken longer than anticipated, and it has been challenging to say the least. **************** works out of the country and is not in town all year round making it extremely difficult to arrange a time to meet with him. All we want to do is give him the correct screens and make it right as soon as he responds to our communication to coordinate a mutually convenient time to complete.

Kade explanation is self serving and false. Have contractor provide copy of the "several emails" he sent to me without response. Below is reference to emails he chose not to address in his response.Most recent:

14 weeks ago you assured me that the missing & incorrectly cut fabric screens would be replaced within 1 week. Now 14 weeks later....no screens, no status updates and zero communications from you. As the client I should not have to contact you for status updates as I found myself doing in October and November.
At this time I will find another company to provide the screens. You will refund the cost of the 3 screens you failed to provide and the screen bolt fasteners not provided but part of the equipment I paid for. I had to buy the fasteners 1 day before hurricane *** ($50.00). Not acceptable to discover 1 day before the hurricane that you failed to provide the required fabric fasteners (in addition to missing and incorrectly cut screens). As part of the purchase agreement you assured me your company would install the screens (one time) 24 to 48 hours before the hurricane. Contract total- $6216
Exclude- Hurricane glass window replacement 3rd flr bathroom= $1500
$6216-$1500= $4716
Total panels to be provided= 22
Actual panels provided= 19
$4716/22 panels= $214.30 each.
214 * 3= $642.
Plus $50.00 for screen fasteners.
Total refund is $692.00 due immediately.
I will not wait any longer. Failure to refund immediately will result with complaint to BBB.************************
As I am currently out of town until 1st week of June, the complaint will remain open until I return and Kade construction installs the hurricane panels to demonstrate they are correctly sized. If not, a 4th attempt will not be accepted.

On 09/28/2021 myself and five of my neighbors contracted Kade Construction, LLC of Bradenton, FL to install rolldown hurricane shutters on the lanai of our homes. The installation of the shutter on my screened-in lanai is different than my neighbors because I do not have an extended lanai so in order to accommodate the shutter and its frame, the screen and its frame on the exterior of my home had to be removed and repositioned, which required additional work but at no additional cost to me. As a result of the move there are black calk/sealant lines (2) on the stucco of the side walls and across the top (see attached photos). When I received the final invoice for the shutter, I sent Derek an email asking when they would return to paint/repair the stucco. On 04/18/2022 two Kade workers were at my home for a final inspection, and I asked when the stucco would be fixed and was informed that the work was not included in the discounted price that I paid and that they would not be doing it because they did not have the paint.Business response
