Purchased a transmission back in sept 2023 got it a month later paid to put it in by ase certified mechanic automatically was a bad torque converter they sent with it! Paid mechanic to take back out! They picked up and sent another transmission, paid mechanic to put back in and installed external cooler this time, drive it a few hundred miles it ***** up fluid asap! Paid mechanic again to take back out they sent another transmission paid my mechanic once again to install it turns out to be a bad transmission as well! Three bad transmissions back to back! Its only a 4l60e transmission ******* one of the easiest transmissions to rebuild! So once again Im paying my mechanic again to take it back out transmission depot has cost me thousands of dollars and I put my trust and faith in them when I could have had it done locally in town and I wouldnt have to pay the mechanic if its bad everytime and the towing fees the bad transmissions have cost me!

To Whom This May ******************** is NO refund offered.

      Customer unit failed.

We picked up and warrantied and returned.

Customer unit failed again, we built and shipped a replacement.

3rd Unit: 1/8/24: Customer called with issue on this **************************. 1 -2 shift is hard also fluid is burnt. Tech manager asked customer on 1/8/24 to run a data stream. We need to make sure computer is commanding. We also need to make sure that actual and desired pressures are correct. Three transmissions do NOT just keep failing like this. We need to get to the root of the problem.

      Called 1/9/24 -Left Message

      Called 1/10/24 -Left Message

1/17/24 Refiled paperwork ... No Response from customer

2/5/24 - Customer called in screaming  said his transmission blew up on the side of the road and lost all fluid.

WHY ARE YOU DRIVING THIS WHEN YOU REPORTED AN ISSUE ON 1/8/24 THAT THERE WAS A SHIFT ISSUE AND FLUID WAS BURNT?

2/5/24 - Owner advised customer that we tried to work with them back on 1/8/24 so we could find out what is causing the issue. One or 10 transmissions will not work if there is something else going on with the truck. We tried to work with you and tech to get to the bottom of this on 1/8/24 however all request were ignored.

Customer continued to drive vehicle with a KNOWN REPORTED issue which is considered abuse.

Transmission is under warranty and standard policy applies. We have already gone above and beyond by shipping this customer a replacement when issue first happened.

We can not continue to extend replacements when customer will not work with us and provide requested information that is in our warranty terms.

Transmission has a 3yr Manufacturer Defect Warranty. Customer can contact us to pick up ********************** under normal warranty procedures.

Transmission depot has exhausted all efforts to assist customer within our warranty terms. Customer must return product for warranty inspection and then we will repair/replace transmission.

This is one of the most common transmissions we build. Things can and do happen, and we always try to address any issue and resolve as quickly as possible. You reported an issue in January and continued to drive vehicle without doing any thing we asked. Our tech support called back several times and never heard back.

      You continued to drive vehicle.

Customer has all rights to contact whoever they wish. We will respond accordingly.

I am rejecting this response because:
Thats my only source of transportation and thats what pays my bills and puts food on the table this has almost cost me everything Ive got and worked hard for! All because I ordered a transmission online if I would have had a shop do it locally I would not have lost almost 10 thousand dollars dont you agree with that
      Sincerely,

Ordered rebuilt Transmission from Transmission Depot, *********************************************** through ****** Automotive ************************************************* on October 31, 2022. They were to complete the transmission in 3 to 4 weeks. This did not happen. On November 28, 2022, they said the transmission would be shipped on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. On Friday, December 2, 2022, ****** Automotive was informed that the transmission had been shipped. Today, Monday, December 5 ****** Automotive called and discovered that not only had the transmission not been shipped, but the transmission had not been built. After almost 6 weeks of waiting and being told that the transmission was shipped, we decided to cancel the order. We were then charged a cancelation fee of $523.75 for a transmission that was never built and were told had been built and shipped. I do not believe that ****** Automotive should have been charged a fee for services they never full filled and now I am being charged the fee by ****** Automotive because Transmission Depot charged it without doing the work and claiming they had shipped an item that didn't exist.

****** Automotive is the one one who ordered this transmission on behalf of a customer on 11/3/22 @ 12:05:01 PM. When order was placed, we advised our time frame is currently 3/4 weeks. Customer was OK with turn around time and placed order. On 11/28/22, ****** Automotive called and we advised that this should be out of production within next few days. Ship date was estimated for 12/6/22. Our Customer, ****** ********************** was OK.

On 12/5/22, ****** Automotive called and said they wanted to cancel order. We advised ****** Automotive that this transmission was already with the builder as it was scheduled for completion and to be shipped the next day. We advised ****** Automotive that if they chose to cancel, there would be a restocking fee of 25% on parts only. ****** Automotive agreed, order was cancelled, refund was processed.

On 12/5/22, later in the day, *********************** called in pretending to be a manager for ****** Automotive. He stated that we made false claims and promises etc and they were not paying a restocking fee. We knew this was ****** Automotive customer immediately

I have a complaint about this customer already BBB# XXXXXX and have now put about 500 miles on unit since I installed for the second time and low and behold back to a shifting problem which is saying range selector failed to see neutral P0705 code now I have checked wiring and voltage to switch which is good suggesting the range selector is bad so I will contact transmission depot when they open to see what they say but at this point I have had the transmission out twice have replaced the valve body my self and fluid at my expense (after paying 2000 dollars to them to rebuild and install all electrical components and payed them for the oil that is in it) so at this point I am discussed that after fifteen years owning this truck (and I am a state certified technician for Michigan ) that I can't trust the truck (TRANSMISSION) enough to even go to the store (I'm sure they are going to blame part malfunction that is what they said the first 2 issues) but being a technician for more then 30 years I can tell you the odds aren't that bad but again I would like this resolved quicker than the last issue I had XXXXXX on truck when I replaced transmission originally and only have XXXXXX and I have replaced the valve body and fluid(fluid I had to purchase about 150 dollars after paying them for oil) that fixed the first problem and created another no 3rd or 4th so I removed transmission again sent it back and waited 3 to 4 weeks to get it back (and they didn't contact me to let me know what they found or status of the repair) on that note I will end with a utterly disappointed with the quality of the repair and shipping of unit

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/07/19) */ Not sure where to go with this. Customer has been driving with transmission since December 2021. There was an issue that arose, we picked up and warrantied transmission and returned. Customer installed and drove for awhile and called and said he had a code P0705 for MLPS. We installed a new one when unit was here, however, to assist, we sent out a NEW MLPS again on 7/5/22. Have not heard back from customer as of 7/19/22. Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/07/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Purchased rebuilt transmission was promised 3 times the $1500 mandatory core refund. Was never given refund. Once transmission was installed we realized it wouldn't go into 3rd gear. Reverse went out after driving a few miles. Took transmission in for a second opinion-metal in pan, missing bolts, broken case, and many more issues with this rebuilt transmission. Company now has transmission under warranty. Is blaming customer for poor built transmission and attempting to charge $650 on top of $4050 to repair their mistakes. I have proof to back up everything I'm saying. I have 5 kids and now down to one income due to the negligence of this company and their employees. Absolutely unacceptable!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/08) */ Core Refund: Customer core was destroyed. The Input Shaft was twisted and mangled and broken severely. We do have a policy on how cores must be returned and in good rebuildable condition. Customer was advised, full core deposit refund was not possible. Customer then disputed with credit card company since we were not refunding FULL core deposit. We ended up losing to the powerful credit card company and customer was refunded in full. Customer called in a few days after receiving their transmission. Stated that delay in reverse, and issue with MLPS. We tried to tech support customer, however customer NEVER called us back, never checked some of the miscellaneous issues we asked them to check. Over three weeks went by, and we finally received a call from customer wife. We advised; we are happy to pick up transmission for inspection. Another two weeks went by before customer called advising transmission was ready. Transmission was received and inspected. We found that someone has been inside of transmission, tried to adjust bad (Wrong way), MLPS is broken and not on correctly, and the back end of transmission is cracked. (It did not leave here like that as this was a LOCAL PICK UP and was checked by customer when picked up. Transmission Depot covers transmissions for a period of 2yrs against defect. The issues found were not of defect, but of installation error. To resolve this, customers transmission is being repaired and returned at no cost. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is not true! Misty sent us a email stating we broke the transmission and that we will pay $650 to repair the rebuilt transmission they sold us. Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/04/13) */ Please be Advised, Transmission Case was swapped, Transmission was gone through and repaired and re-shipped to customer via ESTES EXPRESS tracking number XXXXXXXXXX shipped 4/12/22. Customer 100% should have paid for new overdrive section that was received cracked, however we waived this repair charge, repaired and sent back out. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/04/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Misty and her team sold us a faulty transmission and then attempted to blame the customer (for their shortcomings. She also lied to her customer and to the BBB about events that occurred during this transaction.I have received a entirely different transmission from Transmission depot. I can up load more pictures to prove that as well. It was received yesterday (4/13/22) and installed today (4/14/22). So far the new rebuilt transmission is working fine. We received this transmission because Misty and her team realized one or two things were going to happen here and that was they either fix the faulty transmission or return the money we paid. Misty and her team thought they had all the sense until I took the truck and transmission in to ensure my truck was not the issue. I have proof of everything I'm saying. The transmission company told me what was wrong with the transmission said the transmission was in such bad condition they would NOT rebuild it. I did my research and Transmission depot has about 20 plus complaints with the BBB & 85% of the reviews on yelp, Google, and other online networks are identical to mine. This company is crooked and at this point I don't want anything else to do with them. The ripped me off and I'm still out of the $1500 for the core Misty promised me. As long as this transmission continues to work ill take that loss just to be done with this terrible company. They should lose any accredition they have with the BBB.
