Called the company and was verbally quoted $165/hour plus a (and I quote) a "nominal" travel charge. They would not send the tech without me giving my cc in advance of the service call. Technician came and did the work. Tech was on site for 52 minutes (including waiting in his truck for 20 minutes for the office to verify if more photos of the item were needed). Received a (subsequent) bill for $458.32 only after I requested a copy. Amount was immediately charged to my cc on 1/31. When I called to ask for an explanantion I was told the company policy was to charge for the time from when the tech left the prior job up until the tech arrived at the next job after me. (Sound like they are doulble charging all customers for the travel time). I asked for a copy of the policy and have not received it.I am also going to repot them to the FL Deptartment of Revenue. I disputed the charge with my cc company. CC company said they were told I authorized the total amount prior to the service call which I did not. I informed the cc company the bill should be approx $200.
