Lagasse Pool construction has never finished our pool. The salt chlorinators never worked. The auto floor cleaner has never worked. They did some repair but still does not work properly. One of the pumps from the beginning has drawn air.The lane dividers were put int he wrong place and never corrected. While under their care,They have let the pool grow green and it has caused staines on the pool. They have not provided me with any manuals or proof of purchase for all equipment. This means I can not get the warranties served for any of the faulty equipment they put in.There still rocks and pebbles in the plumbing lines that they never cleaned out before hooking up pumps.During construction they hit my electric lines to house and guest house and had to have Electrician fix both of those. They are required to have lines checked before they dig but they did not and refuse responsibility. They were notified of all these things 5 months ago and have emailed multiple times saying they would come and take care of but never do.Initial Complaint

I closed on a contract to build a pool on 9/19/2023. On September 22 I paid the deposit of $14,600. The job was supposed to start Med November or sooner. Every week they had an excuse to not start. All the way to Mid December they continued with excuses. I asked for a definite date they can start or refund my deposit as they can't seem to even start the job. ***** the person that sold me the pool and the contract stopped answering my calls and texts. I asked if we could resolve this in an amicable way, and if he could not help to please provide me the name and contact of the person who could help me. ***** on our last conversation on December 13 early afternoon, stated he would talk to ****** (**, ***), the owner of Lagasse pool and would give me a definitive answer by December 13, 2023 evening or the latest December 14 in the morning. I waited until Friday to call ***** again. He never answered my calls nor text messages. I have also called different numbers for the company and their email and no one answers.Business response

We have been working with the ******************* and still waiting on them to issue the permit to start the job. Our salesperson did not keep in contact with her like they should have, but we have been in frequent communication with the customer.
At this point she was made aware we are still waiting on permitting, and work will begin once permit is issued.

Company is very behind on our pool project showing failed and incomplete inspection at Public Records for Manatee county, we have request the company to calls ** and they never called us, they keep giving ** dates but never meet any dates. We had sewer problems because the sub contractor lacked experience and there was no manager on site.Initial Complaint

Pool coping installation was supposed to have started at the end of September 2021, when the concrete was poured in the pool. Pools By Lagasse hired a tile subcontractor to install the coping and tile. The tile subcontractor would not start the job because the pool was out of level. So, Eli, an employee of Pools By Lagasse, leveled the area himself and started the coping and tile installation. Eli installed the coping and areas of glass tile incorrectly 3 times between October 22-November 18, 2021. On Nov. 18, 2021, the cement pool deck was poured and the coping was still incorrect. Eli attempted to correct his mistakes 3 MORE times (6 total) between Nov. 18, 2021-Jan. 25, 2022. (No one worked on the pool from Dec. 14-Jan. 14.) Eli broke glass tile and grouted through the middle of the tile attempting to hide his mistake, he carved a thick grout line in one coping tile, a half inch larger than the rest of the coping, he gouged areas of the new cement pool deck, installed the glass tile on the bottom pool step unevenly, and never mentioned any of these mistakes. Eli has not taken responsibility for his unprofessional craftsmanship, and blames the concrete slab as the reason he is unable to install coping and glass tiles correctly. Joe, the owner, has not been involved in any process going on with this pool project. Joe has also suggested we take over processing the remainder of our pool work, essentially working as his contractor without pay. Joe has given us the name of the subcontractor that will address cleaning the pool, filling in the "bowl" at the bottom of the pool, spray the final texture, and fill the pool with water. We hired Joe to oversee the pool installation, and expect him to do the job he was hired to do. Unless, of course, Joe reimburses us the money we paid him to do this work. Joe needs to take an active role in the completion of this project, and Joe needs to guarantee his professional, quality craftsmanship to complete this pool immediately.Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/03/15) */ ***Document Attached*** The deep end of our pool has still not been addressed, and it is vastly uneven. One side near the wall has a mound, the middle contains a "bowl", and the slope on all 3 sides are different pitches. I want the deep end of my pool to look as level and even from one side of the pool to the other, as my shallow end looks. Joe promised me he would address the deep end and assured me it would look the way I want, yet he still has not had anyone come out to start fixing the mistakes. Joe has given the Prestige Gunite company name to my husband, and that has been the extent of Joe's involvement. Joe is the contractor, Joe needs to take responsibility. Upon taking actual measurements of the deep end of the pool, the deep end comes up short of the 7' depth promised in our contract. Joe had even changed and extended the dimentions of the pool from the contract to the permit to allow for the depth, yet did not deliver on the depth per our contract. Joe is in breech of contract.
