Battery was purchased for my minivan back in 2021 with a warranty through ****. In early 2023 I took the car to the same location were purchased it get the battery assessed since I suspected low voltage. They did a test on my alternator instead and claimed the issue was the alternator so no warranty was excised. In July 2023 we again went back and got the same response. On August 7, 2023 I went to a ***** dealership to fix the issue only to obtain confirmation that the alternator is working perfectly. This same day I then went to the same store to get a new battery under warranty and I have been getting the run around due to the associate saying it could still be the alternator. He tested my battery and it was completely drained so he said the process is to charge my existing battery. I requested a replacement under my warranty but he insists that this is procedure. The store associate gave me a loaner battery and said that to come back tomorrow (08/08) to check if the alternator drained the battery. This would give me a second chance under my warranty. I pointed out to him that as per *****, my alternator is not the issue. This business is not honoring it's warranty policy and has caused me to lose a work day, get a diagnostic done, and frustration due to their evasion of honoring the policy. I am requesting my money back and I do not want to deal with the bait and switch situation that seems to be happening.Business response

Hi! Good afternoon! Thanks for taking the time to make sure that our customer is satisfied. All matters have been resolved. A new battery has been provided as the original one did in fact test weak on our second encounter. Everything have been processed in our POS system under the customers profile in case there are any problems in the future.

I am rejecting this response because:I do confirm that I was given a new battery, however, the battery that was given was a cheaper battery than the one we originally posted. The associate advised that he could not do an even swap because our original battery is no longer manufactured. There was no intent to refund us the difference or attempt to give us a better battery than we had originally purchased.
I proposed that if indeed our original battery is no longer manufactured and we have to settle for the cheaper one, we get a refund for the difference of the two.
