I rented the barn for my daughter’s wedding. Our contract states that deposits are returned in 15 days after your event. Our event was on 12/04/2021, the deposit should have been mailed by Monday 12/20. I have called many times and have been told on 2 different occasions that the deposit has been mailed. On Friday 1/7/2022 I was told the check would be put in the mail the following Monday. I requested it be overnighted and was told they would ask. As of today 1/19/2022 I have yet to receive our $1000 deposit back. Any help you could give in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.Business response

Good afternoon. I received a letter in the mail from the BBB related to a complain that was filed by Ms. ******** **** (Complaint ID: ********). I wanted to respond as this issue has been resolved.
Ms. **** should have received her deposit much sooner than she did. The manager of the barn took a new job so I have a new manager working there now. This all happened around the same time as Ms. ****’s event so that was part of the issue. The other part was that my office was about 1/2 staffed in January because of COVID and both my CFO and AP Manager were out. I told Ms. **** we were going to mail a check to her on 1/10/22 and it was 2 days before that date that my AP manager tested positive.
Long story short, Ms. **** deserved to be frustrated. I had my CFO personally drive a check to her home last week so everything is good now.
