Alphastaff serves as the HR PEO for my company, which makes them our HR department. When I took ** ****** Paid Family Leave for the birth of my son, Alphastaff informed me that ********* Paid Family Leave runs concurrently with ***************** Family and Medical Leave Act, so I took leave for 2 weeks. 3 of those days were prior to my sons birth, so I could be with my wife in the hospital. The leave was approved. Upon my return to work, Alphastaff only paid me for 11 days instead of 14, stating that family leave is only paid after the child is born. This contradicts the fact that they told me that paid family leave runs concurrently with FMLA, and there was nothing on any of the forms they provided me stating that it is only paid after the child is born. Alphastaff acknowledged that this was their fault, but they refuse to compensate me for the 3 days of pay that I am now missing due to their negligence. There were also many other issues that occurred during my case. Alphastaff continuously provided me with the wrong documents to submit, forgot to submit documents, and for a long time ignored my emails requesting that my case be escalated and that I demanded to speak to management. This all led to me getting my the 11 days pay that I did receive over a month after went on leave.Since Alphastaff was my companys HR department (as of September 1st my company moved to a new provider) and provided me incorrect information that led to me missing out on 3 days of pay, this is their responsibility and they should be compensating me for those 3 days.
