I had my first home-built months prior to the pandemic. They had sold us on all of their quality and multiple checks of workmanship. Myself, my wife and my relator were all present when they asked for a 10k ******* deposit of which they said we would receive back on the day of closing. We scraped up and paid the deposit the following day. A couple of months later the pandemic hit. We immediately began seeing changes in the agreement of start date. This was to be expected due to all that the world was going through, however we began seeing an immediate shift in customer service. After several changes in the dates of what we were told we were then contacted and told we wouldnt receive the ******* deposit back, they quickly followed this by advising us we could simply walk away from the deal. We began seeing more of them back tracking on things they had said always followed by the offer to back away from the deal. Finally, after a horrible closing of which we didnt even know was scheduled until 4pm the previous day we finally moved into our home. We hadent been in the home 2 years and the driveway started sinking. The paint and other issues, cracking of the home and several defects of which became apparent the company cut cost by doing unsatisfactory work.Less than year 4, I cant park on one side of my drive way in my truck, the roof is leaking, we took up floors to put vinyl only to see deep cracks in bedrooms and closest floors. Inland refuses to repair ANYTHING and instead refers you to 2-10 Warranty of which I find comical considering we have been here less than half the 10 and nothings covered by warranty. I can assure you if I find my home to be on a sink hole or worse my family gets injured I ******************************* for everything down to the door k*** of their office. Im a veteran and I make sure to give them all the free advertisements I can with fellow veterans and the VA Home loan to help others not fall into this trap.

I have been living in my newly built Inland home for a little over a year and recently it has been a nightmare. We had water intrusion in 2 locations that have resulted in mold growth in my home in both locations. My child has been sick with recurring ear infections our doctor directly correlates with this mold growth. Now my child needs surgery to avoid permanent ear damage and may need more in the future. The water intrusion in one location was confirmed by the Inland Homes repair contractor and my home inspector due to improper door installation and not sealing the footplate. Now I just want my house remediated from the mold properly and to my satisfaction and it has been an absolute nightmare to get them to fix the problem they created. In addition to these issues, we have had to have our shower retiled due to improper draining, have a hole in our garage ceiling that needs to be repaired, and have draining issues in our yard they do not see as a problem.
