Our pool and spa were resurfaced and we had all new pumps, lights, etc replaced. The job was completed in March 2022. About a month ago, I noticed that rust spots are coming through the upper inside rim of the pool. The owner has not returned any of my texts or phone calls. The owner was great at selling himself and his product in the beginning. I was happy to hire a local owner who had attended high school with my daughter. I started getting concerned when he didnt show up for days at a time to complete the job. He always had an excuse. He initially reassured me that he stood by his work and would trouble shoot any issues. ****** learned! I hope someone reads this before contracting with Code Blue Pools. I certainly wish I had read prior complaints. It going to cost a lot more to fix his poor work.

We contracted Code-Blue Pools, LLC on May 19, 2022 to remodel our existing pool. The job description included installation of new equipment to convert to a salt system, removing existing tile and glass block and installing new tile, refinishing the pool surface, and sealing of travertine pavers. Final payment was issued July 13, 2022. Our complaint is with the application of the tile/grout. Once water was added to the pool, the grout lines, in and around the water, turned black (the grout is a light gray color). As a result, the pool tile is a mix of light gray and black, making the brand new grout look dirty/moldy/old.We immediately brought the issue to ***************************' (owner), attention and he agreed that it looked unsightly and for us "not to worry" he would make it right.Over the past 3 months, we have repeatedly tried to contact him to resolve this issue. In the interim, we contacted two other pool contractors to evaluate the problem. They both stated that the grout used was not correct for pool tile, hence the discoloration. On October 3, *************************** finally texted and stated that he 'wants to make things right'. He would contact us by October 5. We responded with a resolution. We would supply, at our expense, the correct new grout, and he, with the assistance of my husband, would remove the incorrect grout and re-grout the pool. All he had to do was the labor. As of this writing (October 14), he has not responded.
