On April ****** I got a speeding ticket in **************, *******, **. I sent it to ***, a company who handles citations for CDL drivers, and they said I needed a lawyer in which I was appointed Mr. *********************** I talked with Mr. ********************** one time on May 10, 2024 and that was when he asked me to send him a text message stating that I give him permission to deduct $700 out my account to represent me on my case. When it was time to represent me on May 16, 2024 Mr. ********************** was a no call/no show on my behalf and I received a notice in the mail on May 21, 2024 saying that I have ***************************** my CDL license would be suspended and I would have a bench warrant issued for my arrest. I as well as *** tried to contact Mr. ********************** numerous times but he did not answer. I had my friend call him and he responded to her with no problem through text messages stating that it was nothing that he could do. I went and appeared in court on July 18, 2024 and the judge and clerk stated that Mr. ********************** never called or showed up to hand my case. I paid the ticket which was $132.00 and the case was dismissed. I almost lost my job and CDL license of 28 years do to the fact of Mr. ********************** being careless and inconsiderate as if it didnt mean anything to him. He offered to refund me $300 of my money and to be honest that is a slap in the face being that I gave you $700 upfront trusting that you would handle the ticket and you didnt show up or call. No communication or nothing was made by Mr. *********************** Mr. ********************** is very unprofessional and he scams people out of their money knowing that he will never represent or do anything about it. I just would like for him to refund me my money and I do not want to here any excuses because hes full of those. Its sad that he prays and plays with people money and careers for his own selfish needs. If you couldnt do the case or didnt want to do the case you should have said something. No text, email or call. I am very disappointed in his service. Zero stars!!Business response

It is understandable that Mr. ***** is upset. I certainly don't blame him. Unfortunately, he keeps claiming that I did not do anything. I understand that this is his perception, but it is not accurate. ************** initially retained my office, it was for the purpose ONLY to try and see if we can work out some type of resolution on his case, in the hopes that we can keep this off of his driving record. He was advised numerous times that for the fee paid, it did not include me appearing in court for any hearings. It was only to try and see if we can work out a resolution without having to appear in court. Mr. ***** was also advised I could not promise or guarantee anything, primarily because he has a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and some Solicitors and some courts are very strict in what they are willing to do, due to federal masking laws.
He was advised that if we were not able to work out a resolution, then there would be additional fees if he wanted an attorney to appear in court for him. Unfortunately, I spoke numerous times with the Solicitor in this court. Becuase of the **** the Solicitor would not agree to work out any resolution at all. He has in the past, but he advised me that the court has recevied notification from the federal government that they would lose certain type of funding if they violated the federal masking laws, and therefore, he no longer can work out resolutions for CDL cases.
As a result, his only options were to pay the citation or go to trial. At that point, he was advised that if he wanted to go to trial, there would be additional trial fees for a local attorney to appear and do a trial.
I had also researched and investigated further for any other possible options that might help hiim. But under the circumstances, I was unable to find anything else that I could do to help him. I understand that from his perception, nothing was done. But this is far from accurate. He has also filed complaints with the legal insurance plan that referred him to me, and we addressed his complaints numerous time already. With no obligation to do so, I has initially offered to refund a portion of the fee as a courtesy, which he declined.
However, he sitll continues to complain and accuse me improperly. Therefore, because of all the additional time I have had to spend addressing his complaints, I can no longer offer any refund. However, I was not retained to appear in court in person, and I most definitely did eveyrthing I was retained to do. It is just unfortunate that I was not able to obtain a beneficial outcome for him.

This office was referred to me to help me with a traffic citation I got driving to Georgia on April 10th. Unfortunately I lost the actual ticket and I hired this office to help me handle the ticket. The attorney told me I needed to pay at that moment to have him start the research. I never heard from them. I have called more than 20 times which the receptionist ******* answers the phone, then tells me he will email the attorney my details and when I pressed and tell him this has been going on for 5 months he hangs up. I have spent a lot of time dealing with this as I had to do my own research and handle the citation myself.Business response

Unfortunately, the statements made are not completely accurate. **************** contacted me about a ticket he received in **. It is true that he lost the ticket, and I advised him that unless we know specifically which court the ticket is located out of in GA, we cannot do anything regarding the ticket until we find out. I spent a great deal of time with him on the phone giving him suggestions on how he can try to locate the court. I advised him once he located the court, to let me know.
He contacted me back and advised that he could not locate the court, and he needed my help to locate the ticket. I told him I would have to charge him for that. I also told him that there are thousands of courts in GA, and I will be limited by his thoughts of his approximate location in GA when he received the citation. I charged him $200 to spend time trying to help him locate the ticket. This fee was only to help try to locate the ticket, and not for handling the ticket, and he was quite aware of this. I also advised him that I could not guarantee that I can find it. But in worse case scenario, he'll get a suspension notice from **, and at that point, we will know where the court is in GA, and we can then determine how we can fix it.
We spent several hours or more trying to contact every court we could find in over 5 or 6 different counties in GA that we thought may be where he got the ticket. Every court told us that they did not have a ticket for him in their sytem. We advised him multiple times that we could not locate the ticket, and that there are no more courts for us to attempt, based on the location he said he was certain he was. We told him to contact back once he receives a notification from the court about the suspension, and then we can discuss how we can help further.
At this point, he demanded his money back, because we could not find his ticket. Unfortunately, we told him we cannot give him his money back, because we already spent hours try to search for his ticket, and that is what he was paying us to try and do. The fact that we were not able to locate it was not because we did not try or do anything. For this reason, no refund was, or is, warranted.

I am rejecting this response because:
once I paid I never received a call from the office. Although the attorney told me he would need to charge me for searching the ticket, not once I got an answer telling me he didnt find the ticket. I called more than 5 times and the receptionist told me the same thing, I need to take your information and email the attorney for the progress. By the third time I called and got the same answer from **************** told him he had done that and never had received a resolution nor an answer whether they found or not the ticket. Not once was I reached by anyone in the office being told they tried and called any court trying to find the ticket. If they would have communicated and being told they did research I wouldnt be expecting my refund. I expected documentation on when they reach me.

I can understand if **************** is upset because we did not contact him back. But I don't believe that to be accurate. He did call numeorus times and spoke to my assistant. I advised my assistant to let **************** know that we were attemping to locate it, and that we have tried many places, but still did not find it at all. I am sure that my assistant told him that, because there would have been no reason not to.
But after that, I had my assistant call courts also. I had him double check the ones I did, and I had him check about ***** other courts in about 6 different counties. He spent time checking all of them, and so when **************** called him back to find out, my assistant did not need to check with me, as he was doing the checking on his own, and he would have advised **************** the same thing, that we still have not located it, and there is nowhere else to check.
**************** was advised that at that point, he should contact us back when he received any communication from the court, or if he received any notification from the ** DMV about a suspension because of the ticket. At that point, we would know what court it is out of, and then we can help to fix it.
To my knowlege, **************** never called back to let us know. I don't believe that he was not informed by us or that he was not aware of the work we were doing. I feel he is upset because we were unable to locate the ticket. This is all I can say on the matter, and I cannot reply any further. If **************** happens to still need help with the ticket itself, and if it has not been resolved, we are still happy to help him. Otherwise, this will be our last response, because unfortunately, there really is not anything else to say.
