A door ******** came to my house and sold me a ***** panel setup. It took no time to get approved and installation started fast. Thats when all the issues started. It took a few months before the inspections were completed so I had to pay a few months of bills without even turning them on. They lie and say that they will pay them but eventually stop answering the phone. I finally got the approval to turn them on and now I realize that my light bill has been the same since before I had panels. I contacted Spartan and they said they would look into it but I never heard back. Now the company and salesman never answer the phone. Im stuck with a huge monthly bill for panels that dont even work.Review from Cheryl M

A door to door "salesman" walked right past our no soliciting sign and got really nasty when we told him we were not interested. We got yelled at, belittled and when I told him I thought it was a scam and to please leave, it got worse. ******. Do NOT associate with this company or anyone who works for them.Review from Dennis G

My experience was fantastic. I learned so much from *****'s presentation that I honestly didn't have any questions. He was personable, professional, and very knowledgeable. We still haven't decided to take the step but are giving ourselves a week to think it over. Zero pressure but just great information. I do understand that some people sell differently and may have different sales methods but he told us that he had done extensive research into Spartan before going to work with them. He was also early for the appointment and that was impressive. Sales is tough enough but door-to-door has to be one of the toughest. Again, nothing but great reviews....

Door to door salesman came to our door and gave us a glowing pitch how he could save us tons of money on our electric bill. He showed us a computer presentation on if we purchased a $29000 dollar solar system we would pay $137 dollars a month for eighteen months and then we could use a government credit to pay against the loan and our monthly payment would go down to $87.00 dollars per month. This was a direct lie. The salesman then stated that the solar system would provide enough electricity that some would be saved for cloudy days and nights, none of this seems to be true. When I complained to the company about the falsehoods I received a call from customer service representative from ********************** wanting to know how she could help us. She offered to send us $150 dollars for our first three months payments and then would review the situation in June. So far I have not received any money from her or Spartan Solar. I called her to let her know that we did not receive any money and she stated that it must of been lost in the mail and she would send another check. After a week and a half sill have not received any money! The employees seem to have a pattern of lying.Spartan Solar Response

Absolutely the best solar installer around. ******************* custom designed my system and took all the time I needed to go over all the numbers, answer all my questions, and make sure I understood every little detail (yes, Im that guy) now I have a perfect solar energy system on my house that nets positive every week. I no longer have to worry about extended outages from hurricanes, etc These are the guys to talk to when you want a custom solar power setup on your home.Review from Pamela C

Hello, my sales rep was honest and very knowledgeable about the product. I was retired so instead of doing a loan for solar we went with the lease option. I was paying 250/month and now Im down to 170 instead. Didnt put any money out of pocket at all besides 150 up front which my sales rep ********** me the next day. I see the other bad reviews on here, but I think it depends on who you work with , within Spartan.Spartan Solar Response

Avoid this company at all cost! I went with them because they offered a lease plan. The salesman gave me a schedule of payments with no payment at all for the first year. The company advertises on the internet that you have no out of pocket costs for the first year. It took over four months for the system to be installed and operational. The system has been operational for five days and they have already taken $233.14 out of my checking twice and $150.00 once. The salesman ************************* is also the project manager. He did tell me that $150.00 would be deducted from my checking, but hed be back the next day with a $150.00 cashiers check. I had to fight him for three months to get the $150.00. He lied to me twice saying he mailed it out, but never did. He was the project manager, yet he never knew what was going on with the process. Ive hat to contact my bank and dispute the charges for $466.28 and block them from taking anymore money. Itll be 45 days before I get my money back. Dont ever believe the words of a door-to-door salesman, especially ************************* or any Spartan representative. During install they took a box off of my wall that was in there way. The box was where my fiber for my Wi-Fi is connected. They wire tied the box to the pipe where my electrical service enters the house to the circuit board instead of remounting it to the wall. Now Im going to have to spend countless hours posting all over social media, rip-off report, and BBB. These people are dishonest and need to be shut down!Review from Kim L

Do not use these people. Totally unprofessional. Door to door sales came late afternoon on a Sunday. No car in sight. Two real young guys on their cellphones. Rang my bell and I didnt answer. They went away came back within five minutes and rang again. When I told them I wasnt interested and pointed out my No Solicitation sign posted on my front door one of them got nasty and told me they could have my lights shut off and mentioned my local power company. I told them they were scammers and I would call the police, which I did. They happened to wander by while cop was at the door but this time there were three of them. So, the cop had a conversation with them.While I may not see these particular guys again, I found out they fan out in multiple neighborhoods like flies. I personally would never do any business with Spartan but...let the buyer beware.Spartan Solar Response

I am sorry to you that you feel this way about Spartan Solar. We definitely are not a scam and actually we are one of the largest Solar companies in the industry. They do walk house to house and rarely drive to each homeowners home. Our teams do their due diligence to assist homeowners with 100% understanding of all the benefits that solar has to offer. My experience working at Spartn Solar left much to be desired. While the company touts itself as having good morals, I found a different reality behind the scenes. The work environment had a somewhat cult-like atmosphere where dissenting opinions were discouraged. Unfortunately, I also encountered instances of dishonesty among some employees, which was disappointing. Transparency and integrity should be at the core of any organization, but it seemed that these values were not consistently upheld. Overall, my time at Spartn Solar was marked by a discrepancy between the company's outward image and the actual workplace culture. It's essential for any company to live up to the values it promotes, and in my experience, Spartn Solar fell short in this regard.Spartan Solar Response
