This business charged me extra money on 3 different visits, when it was their fault that I needed the service.

      Business response

      05/18/2023

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We know that you have helped individuals get resolutions when a business has acted in bad faith or been deceptive.  That simply is just not the case here.  We are an honest business with hundreds of 5 star reviews. We do excellent work, using excellent products done by an exceptional staff. We are honest and transparent.

Our prices are clearly shown on our website and our price list books. We also list that the prices are as an example "$30 and up". The young lady in question asked for additional services and therefore was charged for the additional services.  She is responsible for the "extra charges" since she ordered them.  We don't just do extra services for free and we explained on the visits each time that the services would be at an additional charge. Additional charges may be as examples, upgrading to gel polish or adding rhinestones or stickers or adding fake nails or doing nail art designs by hand as some examples.

The former customer allegation is akin to  going to an auto repair place to "repair a tire" for $20 and the tire manager explains that the tire is not safe to repair and must be replaced.  The customer then agrees and says ok go ahead and then afterwards complains that she shouldn't have to pay for the new tire.  They caused her to get a new tire she'll say. Also like saying a customer goes into a restaurant and orders the $5 burger and they ask if she wants cheese and bacon on it along with fries and a drink and she says yes.   The customer then complains afterwards that they caused her to order the extra toppings, fries and drink which are all additional charges but thinks they should be free. She claims they caused her to order the additional items. What the world needs is for individuals to be responsible for their own actions.

We also don't do unsafe work so we explained that she would require additional work in order for it to be safe for her nails. When a client gets their nails done they know that there is regularly needed upkeep on a timely basis.  The nails we encountered were not done by us and we had to redo them completely as they were old and quite frankly not done well or being given the proper biweekly attention. The customer was at risk for getting a nail fungus if we did a "fill" on the nails which were so old they were already popping off. It was without question time for a new set of nails. She also wanted the stickers and or designs put on her nails which are an additional charge as well.

We have tried over and over but we have given up hope of trying to service this former customer.  She has been such a challenge we had to ban her from our salon.  We have countless wonderful amazing customers who have praised our salon with glowing reviews and compliments.   We hope she finds a nail salon that helps her.  That is the only resolution here.

      Thank you,

      Tori N***** Manager
