The MINIATURE dachshund I purchased from her has staph and coccidia. (Jessica)She try to say the reason the puppy was missing its fur and have scaly skin was because of my puppy playing with its siblings and to just give it a bath and the puppy will be okay and the reason it has diarrhea with blood is because of stress and anxiety from going to a new home. I took it to the vet it has staph and coccidia. I contacted her about it, I only want her to pay the vet bill. She said no because it's not in the contract. I think the least she could do is pay the vet bill since I paid her $700 for the puppy that's sick.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/25) */ To whom it may concern, Ms ******* purchased a puppy from us. A day later she asked about some small bald spots on his side and I explained that those are caused from playing with his litter mates and them scratching each other ect. I explained it would be back to normal in 2 to 4 wks as it would not be playing with other pups to scratch him. Her first vet told her the puppy was otherwise healthy with no issues and when he was older they could check to see what it was "IF" the puppy still had those spots. So after my advice and then a vet's advice, she then took the puppy to a second vet 2 days later, who then stated the puppy has coccidia and staph. The pup was given prevention meds for coccidia which is listed on my website, and to which the 1st vet did not diagnose. Secondly staph is contagious and not one single one of his litter mates has staph. I can also furnish letters from others customers who have gotten their puppies after Ms ******* got hers, therefore if it was staph those pups would have the infection as well, and they do not. Also as stated on our contract we are not responsible vet expenses that the customer accrues. I do hate that she is unhappy as this is a very sweet and healthy puppy. We have been breeding now for 22 years and as you can see from past references we have very few problems with our babies. We are very careful with the health of our babies and had the puppy truly had a health issue we would have never released him to go to a new home. I have not received a copy of the first vets visit where he stated the puppy was healthy besides the few spots. Seems like she kept taking him until she found someone to tell her what she wanted to hear. I have also attached a copy of the contract which she signed before she took the puppy.
