August/Sept ****************************************************************** 2023. I paid all payment on time and ended up being offered a loan to roll everything into one payment and get all my debts paid off immediately. I took that loan and made those payments. I paid everything! There was a settlement agreement reached with my Barclays Gap credit account in Aug 2023 and 3 payments were made to fullfill that settlement. I have copies of those checcks. Barclays is now reporting that I still owe them money over $5k and reporting to the credit bureaus that I am 90+ days late on payments and owe that money. I do not! I have sent copies of these notifications to Guidestone asking for their help, asking for a copy of the settlement agreement for months and have gotten zero help! That was part of my agreement that if I was sued or if any creditor came after me they would represent me. I called Barclays myself and they have now sent the account to collections and won't even talk to me about it. I just need Guidetone to do what they said they would do. They arranged this settlement and they need to enforce it and have them recall my account from collections and **** it as settled. That is what I need done as soon as possible because they are still dinging my credit every month now.

After many conversations, with both the client services team, and the lawyer assigned to me on recorded calls, I was repetedly reassured that nothing being handled on my account would have an effect on my husbands credit. That turned out not to be true, and my husbands credit was affected. I called on January 8th and cancelled services and was told to keep watch for emails confirming that that money would be deposited back into my account. I was reasurred multiple times that no payments would be taken beyond this time.On January 16th, I emailed to check in, as I had not received the promised emails, and no money had been returned as promised. On January 17th, a payment of ****** was withdrawn from my account, making my account negative. I tried to call and could not get through. I also emailed and was promised a call within a timeframe. That timeframe has passed and I have receieved no call.Another payment of ****** was attempted on my account 1/24 after being told they would not be taking any more money.I have called repetedly since then, and have not gotten through. At this point. Based on their repeted promises and no follow through or contact as they also promised, I need at minimum ******** deposited back into my account.

On 5 Aug 2021, I entered into an agreement with Guidestone Law Group to be my debt settlement company. Guidestone sent a notary to my house, and we went over the paperwork. The notary assured me that all the questions of debt settlement and late payments would be handled. I attended all the meetings and phone calls that Guidestone set up for me. I paid Guidestone monthly, even when they were taking twice the amount that we agreed upon. For over 12 months, Guidestone kept taking double payments out of my account, and told me repeatedly that they had the issue corrected. My account lawyer never returned my call from 7 calls and 12 emails left for her review. Under Guidestone's program, I was advised not to speak with any creditors, and not make any payments to them directly. Guidestone did not enter into an agreement with my first account for 14 months. Now, I have been sued twice by 2 of the lenders, and Guidestone has not been to court with me or tried to help. I settled those 2 accounts myself. I am now being sued for 1 account, that ******************** says has an agreement for 1212$, and I have paid $909.00 of that amount, but the lender has not received any payments, and *************** says they sent that money to another company that is not even related to any of my cases. I am left paying that lender $1572 due to their fees added to the $1212 payment. What is my recourse?

In June 2023, I had a consultation with a Guidestone Law Group rep. about their process extensively. A notary then came to the house and went over all the documents thoroughly with **** understood that late payments play a significant portion of the credit score. When I asked during the consultation if the late payments would be part of the negotiation of the settlement, they said that it would be. Specifically, they stated that part of the creditor accepting the settlement is for the late payments to be removed from my credit. I agreed and went through their process. I paid all my payments on time and had all the conversations/meetings they requested of me. In November 2023, they presented a debt settlement loan which I took to settle all of the debt I had enrolled which was over 100 dollars higher than what my payment was for a year. I had a conversation about the the late payments on my credit report, I was told that I would have to contact the creditor myself and get the late payments removed. I responded with "that was part of the agreement I signed, Guidestone said that when the debt is negotiated, part of the creditor accepting it would include them taking the late payments off). They also resolved and paid off one of 4 of my credit cards. Lending Club was supposedly paid off, but they have not received anything when I contacted them and are still showing negative credit on my report. *********** still is stated as pre-settlement and when I called them neither credit card knows anything about Gladstone law group or any other credit consolidation program. Guidestone has not keep their entire agreement. They advised that as a part of their process, they told me not to pay my bills as they would use this as leverage. Now, even though some of my debts have been settled, I am left with late payments, a loan in passing on that hasn't been concluded, and no one return emails or corresponding. Guidestone needs to fulfill the legal contract we signed and get this resolved entirely.

I started a debt resolution in March 2023 with ****** a month for six months at a total of ********. At 4 months i began to call to see when they would start negotiating my debt. I always got customer service and they always told me soon. My assigned lawyer never returned my calls. In August i sent them a offer from one of the credit card companies that was asking around 500 dollars. I told Guidestone. *************************** rolled around and they had not resolved not one debt. NOT ONE,I called ******************** and cancelled Guidestone and in two months ******************** has already resolved three accounts with less money. When i asked Guidestone for my money back, they sent me a check for ******. **************** which got very indignant when i asked them what fees they were charging me. He told one fee was a service fee which was 300 something a month and that they were taking their fees upfront which they never mentioned in their sales pitch. I'm still trying to figure out what service they did every month. So stay away from them....What a rip off

I started this program in February ******************************************************************************************** 7-9 months. They have been taking $782 out of my checking account every month. In October of 2023 I had not heard from them after several attempts to reach out. Nothing had been done on their part as promised. I cancelled the service because they had not been providing it. Out of the $7000 I paid into the program they are refunding me $500.00. When asking to speak to someone I was hung up on and then told people have complaints about ************ too. By a member of management. I was told these are service fees but NONE of the services that were promised were provided. Please be aware this company is a scam

In November of 2021, I sought debt settlement help thru Guidestone for approximately $112,612.28 in debt. They subsequently negotiated settlement on only one account, Discover, for $14,292.48 - reduced from $20,417.54)In July 2022, I took a retirement distribution and removed all but that settlement and paid off the remainder, approximately $66,404 I was able to negotiate ON MY OWN with each creditor.Guidestone reduced my monthly payment from $2201.01 to $371.22.In total, I have paid them $34,136.97 to date (Sept. 2023), yet they still show my REMAINING balance for the one settlement at $12,546.96.I understand that there are a number of fees that I committed to, but I have already paid DOUBLE the amount for that single settlement to Discover. The total fees (retainer, admin, service) totalling $18,993.03 (over and above the $15,143.94 I paid for toward the $14,292.48 settlement amount.)Retainer: $995 Admin fee: $2376 Service fee (to negotiate with creditors): $15,622.09 Given that they settled 18% of my debt, I would ask that they refund 82% of the service fee, or $12,810.11.

In February of 2023 I signed up for debt consolidation with Guidestone Law Group the sales pitch was at anytime I can get out of the program and get the money deposited into my account back I am now switching to a chapter 13 and my **** that was in my account that I deposited is now being refunded as 606 dollars. The entire sales pitch was that money minus the small monthly fees would be returned to me should I ever opt out or change my mind into a bankruptcy or something else. This is a scam and theft by deception. None of my creditors had been paid any money yet and when I canceled out of this program there was over 5K in the account. Now I am told otherwise. Why sell one thing then do another. As a broke person trying to fix my debt why steal my money. I canceled in august after 6 months of nothing but harassing phone calls from creditors and nothing being done. Now my money has been stolen. This was not what I was sold when signing up. I understand there were small monthly charges as I was told but to steal most of my money is crazy.
