I had cancelled my account through an app 5 years ago and 5 years later theyre trying to charge $3.777.69 and they had messed up my credit score . I dont owe them anything and I wont be paying them that money . The ** told me I had been to the gym for 6 months and I havent i only been there for a month how have I been to that gym when I moved and takes 2 hours to get there . The General manager was very rude and not willing to listen in his mind hes right and the customers are wrong he said people like to ignore the billing payments and phone calls but I have never received an phone call from them . When I looked at my account again today I notice they charged me an extra $200 they said I brought an product from them when I never bought anything from them . The only stuff I used was my own stuffed that I had bought . This gym is nothing but an scam . The coaches was unwelcoming the only coach that talked to me there was the black jiusitu and he was nice . True General manager needs to be fired and the front desk employees will try to trick you to sight their contract without telling you they will charge your card $3,000. I need cooperate phone number to report the general manager CJ as well

      Knuckle Up Fitness Response

      03/16/2022

Here is the response that we sent member. Nothing stated in this complaint is factual.

Alright, so we are not going to be going back and forth like this forever, so I am going to put all of this in one email and do my best put it to bed right now.

You have claimed that you werent a member, that it was trial membership (see Trail Membership Email screenshot), and that you were only a member for a month (see attached Stopped in August screenshot), but you made small payments on the account until December of 2017 (see attached *** Invoice History and *** Notes) and have mentioned cancelling the account multiple times, so it is obvious that you knew that you were a member. I have also contacted *** to get their records of the payments, phone call recordings, or whatever other transcripts that they have from those transactions from those dates and I will forward them to you once I receive them. It should be withing the next ***** hours.

Additionally, you contacted our cancellations department on September 10, 2018 stating that you were working on paying off the past due and planning to come back no later than December (see attached September Emails) where we informed you that we no longer owned your agreement, that First Credit did, but that we would let you use the facilities while you were working to pay it off. We had not heard back from you until yesterday, 3 years later.

You were in a 36-month term membership, so while you certainly dont have to show proof of relocation to anyone, in order to cancel the account you would have been required to show a newly issued ID with an address 25 miles or more from the nearest KnuckleUp location. This is described in your Member Agreement (see attached Member Agreement yellow highlights). Additionally, in order for an agreement to be cancelled, the account would need to be current and this account was past due for quite some time.

In regard to the receipts having ********************* as the salesperson, that is the name of the person logged into that Point of Sale terminal at the time of the transaction, not necessarily the person doing the transaction. You had three transactions at KnuckleUp. One on June 21, 2017 for $1. This is the date that you enrolled for your membership and signed your agreement. The other two transactions, June 27th and July 3rd of 2017 and totaling $206, were for the remaining balance of your post date (see attached Member Agreement orange highlights). The remaining balance was actually $207, but you were only charged $206.

You have mentioned reviews multiple times in your emails and while you are obviously free to review as you choose, do remember to keep your reviews factual otherwise you will be open to libel and slander claims. We already have one lawsuit regarding this type of behavior, I really have no interest in filing another one.

Additionally, I will not tolerate the foul language and other abusive behavior that you have exhibited in this email. I have been nothing but cordial to you, even if you do not like the information that I have provided, I have done so in a professional manner.

I am sorry that you are where you are with the account being with First Credit, but there is nothing that we can do about this account. You will need to contact First Credit and work with them to get it cleared up. Please contact First Credit as soon as possible regarding the account. They may work with you to reduce the amount or help you in some other way, but as I have mentions multiple times, and as far back as September 2018, we cannot change the amount owed or otherwise change the account since it has already been sent to them. Only they may do so.

There is no one else above me by the way, I am the owner/operator of KnuckleUp Fitness as well as the President and CEO as stated in my email signature. This is why I have access to all of the email correspondence from the multiple email accounts etc as well as access to the *** records.

I love the gym I love the ppl there its just I hate going through *** financial because they make it a long hard task to cancel your membership. I was told I had to cancel my membership through *** but they sent me through a whole long process to do so and I dont think that is fair for the customer. Especially when signing up process is so quick and painless. I want to come back but *** Financial makes me want to rethink that cs I dont want to go through this again. Its too much. Again there is nothing wrong with the gym I just hate the third party. Can someone help me cancel my membership?
