I hired Decatur Auto Tech, **** to replace three parts on my 2004 **** Excursion. They were to replace the Oil Cooler, *** Cooler and Intake because the *** cooler was cracked on the inside and coolant was leaking into the exhaust. This is a well known issue on this engine and there are several ******* videos on how to perform the repair step by step which I shared with the owner of the shop, *****************. She agreed the job would be $2000.00 or less depending on the time required. The following Monday I spoke with her and she claimed that she never agreed. This was the only problem with the vehicle when it was delivered which the dealership, Nesh Auto Sales will testify to. I have videos of the engine running with no oil leaks and no electrical problems. ** requested I pay her $1000.00 on June 30th, which I sent her via Zelle and have a screenshot of. She informed me there was a new electrical problem and I suspected it was the **** power board and ordered a $241.00 replacement part which they installed to get the truck running again. Because of the shops lack of knowledge and failure to complete the original repair, I had to pay for a rental car which was $173.34, a hotel in ********* which was $135.00, and put 950 miles on the classic car I was going to tow from ******** to *********** with this truck, but instead had to drive because they broke the truck worse than when it arrived. Mobile Diesel Solutions took photos of the botched repair job Decatur Auto Tech did on the truck and is willing to testify that they did a very poor job at the attempted repair and broke it by over torquing the bolts on the aluminum oil cooler top. I requested multiple times for ** to refund the $1000.00 that she should never have requested from me and she has refused. That is the minimum amount I am looking to have refunded by Decatur Auto Tech and it I need to take them to small claims court I will add the additional expenses mentioned above to my reimbursement request.Initial Complaint

In the past, I have been a loyal customer to this business. I recently purchased a car from this business. The mechanics rigged the car up trying to hide the major issue of the car. I took the car back 3 times and they refused to fix the issue. I purchased this car just 2 weeks ago and the owner refuses to refund me at least some amount of the payment I made to her, and she refuses to make any repairs on the car.Initial Complaint

I have ****************************************************** August. I took the car to Decatur Auto Tech for repair. First, they told me it was a broken solenoid, then they informed me I needed an entire new engine/turbo. I agreed to replace the engine. My car sat at their shop without being worked on for weeks and the engine that was purchased sat outside on the ground for 6+ weeks before they began work. Once they completed work on my engine, I drove it for a little less than 3 weeks and it stopped running again. When I took it back to Decatur Auto Tech, they refused to look at my car and claimed it was a catalytic converter issue. I asked them to verify that was indeed the problem before I spent anymore money on the car, and they again refused. I took my car to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion and they informed me the car needed a new engine (which I JUST paid $5000+ to replace). I asked on multiple occasions with witnesses for receipts and proof of purchase for the engine (allegedly $2400.00), turbo (allegedly $1100.00) and a copy of the warranty for the engine - all requests were denied.
