A tree fell on my apartment building on 2/27/22. My property manager thought putting a tarp over the roof and nailing it down was going to stop Mother Nature from doing any more damage. Repairs on the roof have not started and water damage is being done to my ceiling. I think mold is starting to form from the water damage and every time I talk about the situation to my property manager I always get excuses or lies. My property manager finally started the process of letting us move somewhere else in the complex, but she says that since its natures fault she will not be hiring movers to move us to our new apartment.Business response

We understand this is a very difficult issue but the tree fell through no fault of the Property or Management, it was deemed an "act of God" or "Mother Nature". it has caused major damage to the building. Our insurance company had to have it inspected and is now in the process of reviewing bids and as soon as we get their approval and a proof of loss we can begin repairs. We immediately took intermediary steps to shore up the area and insure safety and to cover it the best we could from the elements. None of that work was meant to be permanent. We understand the inconvenience to our customer and have offered to let him move out of the property without penalty or to transfer to another available unit on the property, again with no penalty. However our Insurance will not pay for his movers and it is not our responsibility to do so either. We suggest he check with his ****************** to see if they will cover that cost as his apartment became inhabitable due to this incident.
