On March 25, 2023, we went to the Valero gas station at ************************************************************. We filled the tank with regular unleaded and paid by credit card at the pump. After leaving the gas station, after driving about a mile, our car stalled and died. We took the car to a mechanic, who has advised that the fuel was diluted with water. We had to pay $978.50 to get our car repaired. Late in the day on March 25, we went back to the station to complain. The Valero employee refused to take any action. While at the station, we met three other customers who stated that they had the same experience: they bought gas at the station, their car stalled shortly after, and they learned that water was mixed in with the gas. We called the police and all of us filed complaints with the local precinct. But the police advised that they did not have authority to stop the Valero station from selling bad gas. I am filing this complaint (1) to recover the $978.50 I paid to fix the damage caused by Valero and (2) to warn other customers to stay away from this station and this company.
