CGS WATERPROOFING, came to install a drain in front of the door of my garage. When it rains heavy, water sips only near the right corner and inside corner wall of my garage. The company CGS came, to do the job on 06/03/2022. I called the office on 06/08/2022, because it rain on 06/07/2022 and I submitted pictures showing CGS there was a problem with the work. CGS had a project manager came to my house to review the job. The Project Manager, came on 06/11/2022. He look at the job and told me the job wasn't done correctly. The drain should have been installed closer to the right corner to keep water from entering inside the garage. I called the project manager by the name of *********************************** within a week and a half. I left a voice-mail message and no response. As of today-08/11/2022, no phone call, email or letters from CGS. This is not about the money. The fact that the company disregard any of my concerns really infuriated me. I have never done this before. I'm hoping this incident can help this company approve on their customers.Business response

Hi ******,
I am sorry you feel that way. However, we have tried to reach you ************** regarding this issue in attempt to fix it for you. We sent our inspector out and everything to make sure it was infact an error on our end. It infact was, so we scheduled you for a service date. Once the service date rolled around ***************** you multiple calls to see if you were available and we got no response. Next thing we heard, you went to dispute the charge with your bank. At this time yes, the warranty is overturned per your request of getting the money back so we no longer contacted you. We had you on our calendar to do the repair which only required 2 extra feet of drain. The water is going in from the small corner of the drain which we pointed out to you. The office has not received a call from you after the 11th asking about any update. When the time rolled around to do the actual service call, ****** reach out to you. The calls went straight to voicemail with no response, it was to our assumption that you no longer wanted the fix, rather just the money back. We are still more than willing to go over there and extend the drain to cover the tiny area where the water is still intruding, but we will not be covering it for free. Again, I am sorry you feel that way Miss ****** ,but we never disregarded any requests made by you.

CGS charged me appx $2400 for 3 catch basins front, side, and back yard with drainpipe, 5year warrantee. Numerous problems still exist.First day, they only installed 2 catch basins: front and side (charged for 3).I noticed the front basin was bouncy, turned out it was held together with duct tape; after getting caught, they fixed it. Since then, my yard has continued to flood so after 2yr pandemic I called them back and found that they never put a basin in the back at all, just a pipe sticking out of the ground with a lid over it. Post-pandemic, they tried installing a Used 22 basin in the back but it was not deep enough. I purchased a $80. 14x18 basin for them to use.CGS guy did not measure, just cut a hole in both sides and now dirt falls into the box and ground sinking. In addition, the intake pipe is 2 lower than the exit pipe, which means the water has to fill the box 5 to exit or backflow to the Side Yard as the slope is uphill. After numerous calls, Managers repeatedly refused to come out to see the problem and send field guys instead. The office/emails states them to do one thing but they do whatever is easy.I have asked CGS numerous times to fix the problem, and each time CGS has done nothing but jury-rig the drainage system. The field guys lied to my face on several occasions (i.e., duct tape, 3rd basin missing) and stood in my yard laughing, speaking Spanish, and making fun of me, very disrespectful. They say the drainage is working as long as a water hose does not overflow the yard. The field guys were supposed to come tomorrow morning but unexpectedly, came today, end of day. They were supposed to replace the basin and correct the slope, according to the email. Again, the field guys get here, they refused to correct the slope, and wanted to install a gigantic 22 box, without correcting the slope, a piecemeal job again, also more water, more mosquitos. I said no, I wanted the job done correctly; the manager said he will dd no more.Business response

Hello,
Upon reviewing your invoice and documents you were not charged for 3 basins (only 2) and you were given 2 discounts for client satisfaction of $726 . According to our accounting records, the invoice and the payment correspond to the attached document. Secondly, post-pandemic we have been out there at least 3 times trying to work with you. We brought a catch basin to meet your requirement and it was "ugly" so you provided us with a Storm drain. Now , those storm drains are not the same as catch basins. They do not possess the correct holes to fit the pipe in. Since you did not want our catch basin of the correct measurements and pre-drilled holes, we had to improvise with what you wanted and make the trip worth it for our crews. We sent our crew from another job to take care of this issue for you as we have been trying to work with you on several occasions. Our crew leader, who has been doing this kind of work for over 10 years suggested putting waterproof tape to fill the very small gap between the holes they had to improvise for because again, you did not want the one we brought. You declined his offer to fix the problem. After that we said ok, I will provide you with the option to choose which basin you would like. You choose the catch basin we brought on 7/20. Yes, we do apologize for showing up on Wednesday instead of Thursday that was a mistake on our part but we were in the area. However, when we bring out the catch basin you choose you don't want it because its "ugly". We have spent so much time and resources trying to help you in the best way possible but as we explained yesterday we will not be coming back. We offered to install the new one at least SEE if it was working and you refused. We were trying to help you but you did not want to be helped. You told my guys very mean things as you assume they were laughing at you. That is an accusation based off perception not facts. You hung up on our supervisor multiple times as we try to solve this issue. So not only did we initially give you a discount, we also provided you with a $400 catch basin you refused to have installed. We told you what you needed to get done with the yard. We even told you to feel free to get a second opinion because we are confident about what we suggest. I am sorry you feel as if we have not tried to solve you issue, however that is just not the case. We have projects going on every single day and always made time to come and try to solve this issue. In total we have spent $1,126 which is almost half of what you paid us. We offered to provide solutions yet you refused, at this time there is nothing else we can do for you.

While extending my downspouts CGS drilled into several of my sprinkler lines. The only way I knew this was because I walked my property at the end of each day. They did not communicate these mistakes with me. They attempted to repair the sprinkler lines themselves and did a poor repair. After they finish their work I had my sprinkler company come out and there were two major leaks left by CGS, one of which they had attempted to repair but did poorly. They cost me $700 worth of damage to my sprinkler system. I have informed this of them of this issue and they will not get back to me in regard to the issue.Business response

Work was started 3/15/2021 and was finished 5/5/2021. Constant issues with project management and quality of work The retaining walls were installed incorrectly and had communicated our concerns from the start of the program. The one wall is pulling away from the patio already and will need to be addressed in 2022.My husband talked with the owner in May that CGS LLC would provide a discount since the quality of work is so poor. Now they are trying to come back and say that they didn't agree to this and want their money. They have great reviews on all of these sites but I find it VERY suspicious because we had a terrible experience with them and so did my brother. My brother has already had to repair the work that they did for him in March with a different contractorBusiness response
