As a teacher for ***** ********* **** ******* I delivered 7 sewing machines on December 21, 2022. On drop off I was told it would be about two weeks then I should receive a call with a quote. I was concerned at the initial drop-off because I was not given an estimate for the work when I would be paying with a purchase request on a limited budget. It was the holidays, and I did not need the machines to start a sewing unit with my students until mid-February, so I waited patiently for the call. On February 14, 2023, I called and requested an update on the machines and was told that they would call me back. On February 15, I was told they would return my call. I expressed my frustration and my concern since my students needed the machines on February 21st. They assured me that they would call me by the next day. On February 28, I called again and was told my machines were on the table and they would call me with a quote. I expressed my frustration and that I just wanted to pick up the machines. They said they had them open on the table and would call me back in an hour and a half. They did call me back exactly within the time frame and told me that it would be $600 to repair 6 machines (1 was beyond repair) and that they would give me 10% off. This quote was twice as much as I had anticipated for repair services. In fact, the machines are only worth $100 a piece so I could replace them instead for the same cost. I asked them to call me when I could pick them up. Since then, our assistant to the Instructional Supervisor has tried multiple times to call them to close out our open purchase request and to get our sewing machines back with no response. I still have no quote, no receipt, no plan or date for pick up, and not enough sewing machines for all my students.
