      Auto Shop accepted our vehicle in August 2022 for repair to begin September after an accident. The insurance company issued several checks in approximate amount of $7000.00 to Shiny Side Up for all necessary repairs. All checks have been cashed but completion of repairs are not in process as of today, December 1, 2022. The telephone number for the business (************) and owners of the business (******* ******* and **** ******) will not accept calls with communications being directed to voicemail which is incapable of receiving any messages due to a filled mailbox. The leased property/building of the business owners has been locked down by the land owner (****** *******) due to dispute with business owners. The building was taken back by the property/land owner on Saturday, November 26, 2022. All vehicles, records, keys and personal properties can not be removed by rightful owners nor have they been informed by the business owners of this situation. I have filed a police report case number ********* with the ****** Police Office as that is the jurisdiction where the business is located. Our vehicle is currently inside the building under lockdown with no ability to know when it may be released, what work has been completed and if the monies received will be returned for the proper repair of the vehicle.

      I recently filed a complaint case number ********. I would like to inform you the company, Shiny Side Up, was forced to make restitution to all vehicle owners. We have received our vehicle with repairs completed. The vehicle repair lot still hosts over 25 vehicles that have restitution still needed. Thank you for your help and don't feel the complaint is resolved for the owners that still are suffering loss of the vehicle and property. ****** ****

      I took my truck to Shiny Side Up in September of 2021. ******* *******, the owner, agreed to restore it, i.e. do all the body work needed and paint the truck for $5000.00. He told me it would take him about 4 weeks. 6 weeks later I stopped to check on his progress and he had not touched it. He told me that he would have it in the shop and being worked on by Thanksgiving and I would have it back by Christmas. I went to the shop the second week in January and the truck had not been touched. He told me it would be 4 weeks to get it complete. I went to the shop in March and some of the bed parts had been taken off and he told me it would be 4 weeks. I went back April 26th and nothing further had been done, when I started to complain ******* told me that he was going to take $1000.00 off the price of the restoration. I also complained that there were several parts that I had bought that had been left sitting in the back of the truck, he told me that he would replace any parts that were damaged . I went back in June and the hood and grill had been taken off and he told me it would be complete in 4 weeks. I went back on August 8th. I told ******* that I wanted my truck back and that I was done with the situation. He told me to come back in 2 weeks and he would have it almost completed. I texted him on August 22nd to remind him that I was coming in on the following Friday to check on the progress and he responded "ok". I went to the shop on August 26th and nothing had been done to the truck. I asked for ******* and one of his employees told me that he had gone to Disney World. I called ******* and he didn't answer, I called a second time and someone answered. I asked for ******* and the person said "*******s not here". I asked for a number that I could reach ******* at and I heard ******* in the background ask who was calling. When I gave my name, ******* told the person "tell him I'll call him right back." He never called.

      I did call Mr ***** back, I was with another customer and trying to finish a job for Mr ***** at the time he called. I couldn't come to the phone at that moment. I did return Mr *****' phone call on August 26th at 6:07 pm. The staff at my office can handle calls

      and customers just fine. The customers only want to talk directly to me and we understand that. However, i cannot always come to the phone as i work with chemicals and my hands are not always free to answer. A message was relayed to me and I returned the call as soon as I could. As for the vehicle that is here we take all the restoration work seriously and it is very time consuming. No , we are not as far as we would like to be in this repair, but we are working hard to get it there.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The main issue is that the truck has been there for a year and is still not complete. I will be making weekly visits to check on progress and will react accordingly.

      The Truck was wrecked on Sept 19 2021. Mr. ******* *******, The owner of Shiny Side UP told us that he could fix the truck and he instructed us on how much he enjoys working on older trucks like that. He also said that those trucks are easy to fix and should not take him about 2 to 3 weeks to complete. I have uploaded a time line of what have happen. All I want is the truck to be fixed as per insurance supplement and with new parts that is safe and reliable. This truck was a truck that my son purchased with his own money for his senior year and Mr. ******* has gone against his word on fixing the truck. We have had to reschedule and cancel senior pictures with his truck and based on the current situation, my son will not get his truck back at all for his senior year of High School. I hope that filing this complaint will get the truck back to us in a repaired safe and reliable position. Also due to the fact Mr. ******* has not lived up to his word through text messages and emails, There should be a significant discount.
