There Are Medical Collections Reporting To My Credit Report. You guys assumed this role without permission, and not only that, you did not have my consent. You guys did not respect my right to privacy, which is under 15 USC 1681. This is also a HIPAA violation. I Also Have Been Called And Harassed About Paying This Collection And Pursuant To 15 U.S.C. § 1692c(a)(1) And 15 U.S. Code § 1692b(3), That’s A Violation. You never had a permissible purpose, and I never instructed you guys to furnish this report, and I never consented to this report in the first place. I Will Exercise My Right As A Consumer To File A Complaint With FTC And An Attorney General If This Doesn’t Get Resolved.Business response

I just checked my ******* Credit Report and found that this company has reported a negative "Collections" account of $45 for ******************* to my credit report. I do not owe any money to *******************. I have not had an account with them for over 2 years. Merchants & Medical Adjustment dba Credit Bureau Associates has never contacted me ( by phone nor in writing (email nor mail)) regarding this supposed debt. Had they done so, I would have had the procedural opportunity to dispute this "debt". According to the FTC, "Companies that provide information to consumer reporting agencies also have specific legal obligations, including the duty to investigate disputed information." Merchants & Medical Adjustment dba Credit Bureau Associates failed to do their research before posting adverse information to my credit report. This information needs to be deleted from my credit report without prejudice.Business response

Our office will accept this as dispute notification and send verification information certified to the consumer. This business has not properly executed notice of impending collection action against me and has therefore denied me my lawful right to dispute charges before any further collections activity could lawfully commence. Therefore, this business must immediately remove any and all adverse statements and notice of any collections they have posted/reported to any and all credit bureaus regarding me and/or this account. Until receipt of this letter is certified by me, the lawful time of dispute does not commence. For over three months, I have been asking this company to send me proof of any documents with my authorization. Til this day, this company has not supplied me with anything. Furthermore, who are they? Obviously, my name got tied up in their records and I would like for them to remove this unauthorized and unverifiable accounts t from my credit report. This is the only negative account I have. They need to remove it immediately.Business response

My son has Full Medicaid with ***** ****** In 2019 he was in the emergency room and at that time I was required to fill out our insurance information. They sent me multiple statements that showed they had not billed this to the ***** ***** insurance, I called no less than 3 times and each time I asked them to send it to his insurance and I was always told they would. This company had now added 10k in medical debt that qualifies for full coverage by Medicaid He was covered, the information was given to them once at the hospital and once over the phone. They have decided that they will not bill the insurance even though insurance would cover the cost. This is hurting my home buying and is pure laziness and lack of consideration for my family. Medicaid is for low income homes and they should do their jobs and bill the expenses and take it off my credit report as well as bill it as should have been done 3 years ago. I've asked the supervisor to call me and she never has. They just keep repeating that "because it wasn't billed they can't bill" which is not correct as Medicaid will cover the cost and if they don't because of time that has lapped then that is due to bad management and poor employee status not because of me.Business response
