I ordered some bags online, went through a secure payment app to place the order, and at first I was declined. I was declined because fraud protection on my credit card contacted me to verify that I had placed this order. Once I verified it, the order proceeded. I received a confirmation from Bestem almost right away after that. 2 days later I get an email stating that you would need a copy of my DL, or a current bill, or the order would be cancelled. I was told this is because the shipping address was different than the billing address. We do not want items left on our porch to be stolen, so the items are actually shipping to a police department/place of employment. I emailed you and called and spoke to you, and explained all this to you, and that I have never heard of an ID requirement, mostly because it is a great way to get your IDENTITY STOLEN. That makes this whole transaction, and you suspicious and untrustworthy. Unless specified in the ******* Rules, a Merchant must not request Cardholder identification as a condition of purchase... a Merchant that suspects fraud in a Face-to-Face Environment may request Cardholder identification, but not ONLINE. That's the law, and that's the one I will be reporting you over to my CC company. I will also report it to the government through the ************** of the police department my order was shipping to. Then, I will be leaving reviews everywhere possible warning people how you operate, and to stay away.
