I booked a rental car from Feb 28th - March 5th. The first day of driving I clipped the front wheel arch going over a narrow bridge resulting in a flat tyre on the rear passenger side.I called the main desk after the incident to which they sent out an engineer to meet me and give me a second car. After this I felt my confidence was knocked, and I didnt feel like driving anymore.I called them and they said they spoke to their manager who agreed to return the car and refund me for the days I did not use the car Managers are not based at the main desk and supposedly do not have their own number. All contact goes through 1 email address. I contacted them on 29th Feb to explain the situation in more depth. They sent an email back on March 1st to say they would keep me updated. I did not hear back for 5 days. I called several times asking the sales reps to pass on my messages. I emailed daily to ask for an update. They ignored all of these. I got a friend to call on my ************* answered straight away. March 6th I received an email to say they would not process a refund because of their policies and the coverage package was designed to absolve you of any repair costs associated with accidents, which it has successfully done. This package does not, however, include provisions for a replacement vehicle. It's important to note that the provision of a replacement vehicle after the initial incident was an act of courtesy and not an obligation under the terms of your coverage. I didnt request a replacement vehicle, they could have easily given me the original car with a new tyre. They claim that the safety of all participants in traffic is our paramount concern, and we believe that allowing continued access to a vehicle under these conditions poses a risk not only to yourself but to others as well. This is bewildering - given the incident only involved myself and a flat tyre. They are liars. Who are negligent and have no duty of care.
