      My previous roommate and I moved into ********************* on June 1st, 2023. Before moving in we paid a whole $980.00 security deposit. We paid every month of rent on time and did no damages to the apartment. We moved out a few days before the designated move out date (5/28/24). It is now 8/15/24 and we have not received our safety deposit back and have not received a written or spoken note on why we havent received it back. Our move out check list was perfect and we cleaned exceptionally upon moving out. We have contacted the management several times and I have not received word back and my previous roommate has spoken with the managers sister on the phone on two separate times in which they say it will get done within 5-7 business days. This has not stood true. This week my previous roommates mother called the office to ask for a status or reason we hadnt received the check and the lady that answered the phone was very rude and told us they were sick of us complaining.We seek action to get our deposit back. We have receipts and proof of timeline and lease stating they have to follow Iowa Code 562A.12.

      I didn't receive security deposit. Paid ****** (my half) security deposit 12-1-22 for *********** Apartment-*****************************. A4 ***********, ****. Moved into apartment 12-2022.Moved out of apartment 7-28-2023. I left apartment cleaner when I moved out than when I moved in. My roommate and I caused no damage to apartment. Cabinet doors were not put on the entire stay. I and family have called and left several messages and also emailed with no response. Thank you

      My two roommates and I rented a 2 bed 2 bath at Pointe West Apartments, which is property managed by T and T Rentals. When we moved in (April 2022) we payed a security deposit of $950; after moving out (May 2023) we were contacted and asked to provide a new address in which to send the security deposit refund. We provided the address in which to send the security deposit on June 5th; we were told the refund would be dispersed near the end of June 2023 and only take **** business days to be mailed to the address we provided. On July 12th, I reached out to our previous landlord at Pointe West Apartments and asked when the deposit was mailed/supposed to be delivered. The landlord responded, Id have to look into this and get back to you. Sorry! On July 19th, one of my roommates texted our landlord and asked for any information regarding the refund; the landlord responded, I know theyve at least been queued up to send off to you. It was July 19th Why has our deposit not been sent out already? The landlord informed us that she isnt responsible for sending the deposits out and that wed have to contact one of two other people (***** or ****). After calling multiple times throughout the day and previously being hung up on, I finally reached *****. ***** informed me on July 20th that he had to go out of town unexpectedly and would be back Monday the 24th. While on the phone with ***** he told me that I could pick up our deposit refund that same Monday. I asked if he would call me on Monday and let me know when it was appropriate to go to the office to pick that up; he agreed that he would. Today is Monday the 24th. I waited until after 1pm to call the office, it rang twice and was sent to voicemail. I went to the physical office, it was locked and appeared as if no one was there. I called again and left a voicemail, in which I told them I would be reporting this issue to the BBB if I didnt get responded to by 5pm. I sent a security deposit demand letter today too.
