I called Decorah Electric to cut five wires left after tearing down a wall in my house. The wires were from a light a thermostat 2 outlet and a dishwasher Decorah Electrc sent a young man on 9/17/2021 who did not do anything for the 3 hours I was charged. He even said he did not know what to do. I called back because the wires still needed to be removed **** came on 9/27/2021 and I was charged 7.5 hours of labor and the wires were not cut. I called again and **** came on 9/28/2021 and I was charged for 3 hours of labor and the wires were not cut. I called again and **** came and I was charged 7.5 hours and finally the wires were cut. I thnk he also replaced 2 outlets even though I did not ask him to. I have no idea why he did that.on 12/9/21 **** spent seven hours cutting three holes in my floor instead of calling me. I had made a point to insist I show **** where I wanted the dishwasher outlet. I did that. when I went to walk the dog **** cut a hole in the floor and put the outlet in but then realized the dishwasher would not fit. instead of calling he drilled another hole in the floor and put the outlet where it would interfere with my cabinet. When I returned I told him it could not go there and showed him the theird spot. He cut another hole in my floor. Wire bends he did not have to cut any holes. I was charged for 7 hours of labor that resulted in 3 holes cut into my floor. Decorah Electric took off the 3 hours ody was there the next day and actually accomplished 3 things. I do not mind paying for work done but there were far too many hours I was charged when no work was done and even damage was done. Also I did not receive a **** from decorah electric until 12/29/2021 even though I first called them in September to cut the wires. They did send bills monthly after december. I wonder if they did this to try to hide the fact that they charged me **** hours to cut 5 wires.

***************************** called to have wires removed from a wall that was being removed in her home.  Also, to have work (demo) done on a downstairs bathroom.

Decorah Electric electrician **** arrived in the afternoon of 9/17/21 to evaluate what was going to be needed to remove existing wires running through wall. The wiring discovered in the wall was old k*** and tube and old romex wire.  Three hours of labor is reasonable to evaluate the wiring to determine what it controlled in the house before just cutting wires.  Also, ********* informed **** of a complete kitchen remodel and bathroom remodel that day that she also wanted done.

**** returned on 9/27/21 to start on kitchen and bath remodel. Before removing wires in existing wall **** needed to get new wiring in place before cutting out old wiring which he did on 9/27/21. So, all wires were removed from old wall being removed and started fishing new wiring in area that the new kitchen was going.  7 1/2 hours on 9/27/21 is justified labor for that date.

9-28-21 (3 hours labor) and 9/29/21 (7 hours labor) are justified labor hours for getting new circuits in existing walls for kitchen and bathroom remodel with limited access and concrete floor.

10/20/21   2.25 hours labor to install new thermostat for furnace.  ********* called with no heat in the house.  **** went to find that a thermostat wire had been removed from wall that had been removed (wire was not removed by Decorah Electric).  ********* asked that **** get new wire fished up wall and new thermostat installed.

10/29/21    **** hours labor is justified for roughing in new exhaust fan/light combo and second light and receptacle in bathroom that is getting remodeled.

11/11/21   5 hours labor justified for time to install new devices and fixtures for kichen and bathroom remodel.

12-9-21   7 hours labor justified time for kitchen island and dishwasher.  There were no holes cut in floor - the holes were drilled to get wiring to dishwasher receptacle.  ********* is correct on one hole drilled wrong so second hole had to be drilled.  The first hold drilled incorrectly was able to be utilized by the plumber.  Second drilled hole was used for dishwasher which ********* still complained on location of receptacle for dishwasher even though it did not interfere with her cabinet as ********* claims.  **** drilled a third hole in order to satisfy ********* but it did not .

I am rejecting this response because:

There are 7.5 on 9/27, 3 hrs on 9/28, and 7 hours on 9/29 that i an charged for cutting the wires which is no time at all after assessing for 3 hrs. There was no work done in the kitchen or bath remodel on those days. I was also charged for the day **** spent ruining my floor, and the wire he wasted doing so. I was never given an estimate or monthly bills and **** who was definitely fresh out of electrician school was not given a skilled electrician when he did not cut the wires after assessing for three hours or assessing the next **** hours.

These are not good business practices and I am being fleeced
      Sincerely,
