March 4, 2023 - Date of Auction I hired ***** Martin Auction Services to take all my deceased mothers belongings to sell at his auction. A couple of weeks after the auction I started contacting him to ask about the proceeds and he stated hes been having serious health issues. He also stated that people stole from him and he lost money. We understand and allowed for several more weeks pass but here we are May 10th. I have learned from other people who hired Royce ********************** and they have also not been paid from an auction that took place back in November 2022. He also stated to them that people stole from him and thats why he didnt have the money to pay them. ***** called me on Monday May 8th and asked me to meet him at his auction so that he can discuss some things. I quickly agreed but then shortly after our call, I decided that unless he had a check, there is no reason to meet with him. Since then *** been calling him, leaving voicemails sending him text messages and he has yet to even text me back. This man is purposely avoiding me so that he does not have to pay. Its not even about the money, as its only $2,341, minus his 30% fee. He gave us carbon copies of the items that were sold so we have proof in our possession. I do not believe that he is an honest businessman and should not be allowed to operate such a business as he is not capable and there are many families in my shoes who have not been paid.
