Hired this company to put in a fence and was given a multitude of excuses to why it wouldn't be put up and so when I said I was having someone else do it, he finally said he would do it but I said no. I had him drop off the materials I gave him money to buy and it turns out he spent less than $900 out if the $2000 and didn't buy enough. When I asked for a receipt I was given excuses again as to why I couldn't get one and he stopped replying to messages.Business response

My elderly mom hired ***** for lawncare work as he was also doing a close neighbors lawn. For the most part, things went well until she paid him $1300.00 on June 23rd to remove a tree in her backyard where a portion of it fell during a storm last summer. Shortly after this he stopped responding to all methods of communication over the next couple of months. My aunt had to go to the extent of tracking down his ex-wife before he started responding again. Unfortunately, the next few months have been excuses as to why he couldn't do the job. Followed by communication in Dec 2023 that he would refund her the $1300 (and threatening her) - followed again by radio silence and no refund in sight. At this point we are having to resort to complaints against him with the BBB, reporting fraud to the **** Attorney's general office and likely legal action in an attempt to just get her money back. Stay far away from this guy. I will update this review as appropriate based on if he proceeds with returning the payment or if we have to go the legal route in court.Also of note, he has removed or secured his business ******** page since all this has happened and prior to that he deleted my message on that page confronting him about his theft.
