I live **** 110th street d-12 ***** zip I have been a customer of the ********************** for many years all of a sudden I never know when I will receive a paper. Currently I can not go to their office since they are not staffing to service customers. If I email them no one replys. If I call about deliver problem I am transferred to a foreign country, which can do anything about a delivery in the **. This week no paper Sunday or today. I tried to cancel my subscription to day no luck getting that done. If they are not going to furnish papers to our route why wont they tell **. I dont want credit for a missing paper, which they think will resolve them of the none delivery. Either deliver a paper I paid for or cancel my subscription.Business response

The contract for the independent contractor newspaper carrier for this route has been terminated. A great, long time carrier will deliver the route. There should be no other issues going forward. Our office is staffed Monday through Friday to provide over the top customer service. All emails should have been answered. We spoke with ****************** on Thursday and addressed the issues as well as the resolution.

My recent statement shows improper billing procedures. Any other subscription renewals include the date that my current subscription will expire. This does not. Any other statement that I receive includes an explicit description of the product or service that is being billed along with an explicit price. My statement seeks $243.00 for "Up to 52 Weeks of Wednesday - Sunday" newspaper. This is phony. I can pretty much predict that when summer comes along, the price will increase and the journal will decrease the term on a prorated basis. That is not good business. If the journal has concerns about the future cost of doing business, they should limit subscriptions to six months or less. They also send frequent emails about my account. However, when I "View and Update Your Account", there is no information about the end date of my current subscription. All in all, there is a basic lack of transparency. I want the journal to amend billing processes so that a statement would be an honest representation of my current status and a stated price for a stated term. I doubt that any reasonable person would agree to something like "you send me money and I will decide what to give you in return". That concept is just poor business.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: standard practice for *** Enterprises contines to show poor business practices. It would be so simple to just state the actual renewal date (both on the invoice and on the online status of my account). It would be so simple to quote a fixed price for a defined subscription term. Better Business relationships depend on cold, hard facts. After being a loyal reader of the journal for 54 years, I have canceled my subscription due to lack of transparency from the journal.
Sincerely,

My Sioux City Journal digital subscription was set to renew November 10th. The billing department withdrew $49 from my banking account almost 2 weeks early. I contacted them, wanting to cancel my subscription because I never accessed the digital paper. My subscription was canceled as of Nivember 10th and was told I would receive a refund. I have been attempting to get that refund ever since. I have sent emails and made phone calls and was told my refund would be sent. Lately, every time I call I get sent to voicemail, leave a message and do not get a return call. All I want is my $49 back.Business response
