The two young men that loaded our truck were very friendly and respectful. However, the loading job was extremely poor. When we arrived at our destination, the movers who unloaded (also with Two Men and a Truck) stated numerous times how terrible the packing job was. All heavy furniture was placed on top of boxes and totes, completely crushing many of the boxes. We had a damaged wagon, elliptical, sitting room chair set and more. I reported this to the company immediately. I was offered a $250 refund. I explained that the damage was not the potential fault of the moving vehicle or driver; that had the truck been loaded properly and boxes not crushed by heavy furniture, damage would have been mitigated. This office manager was unwilling to do anything further.Please note- Two Men and a Truck Urbandale does not stand behind their work and if you have damaged items, you have zero recourse. Very unsatisfied with the way this office conducts business and treats their customers.

We have talked and worked with this customer, unfortunately our load only policy states we are not responsible for anything we did not pack or any damage that could occur during transportation or unloading. When we pack boxes it is our experience that when boxes are properly packed and items are packed in proper boxes they should not crush. We apologize that this move did not go as customer had hoped. We would prefer to pack , load and haul all of shipments but unfortunately that does not work into everyone budget. We did issue a refund out of good faith. The two employees that loaded this are both full time experienced movers that have been with our company for years and they actually do most of our load only or crate moves because of that reason. My professional opinion (since 1983 ) is when we train to pack boxes they should be full and if they are packed properly and in proper boxes / if you put heavy items in bigger boxes they will have to be placed on bottom of load and should be packed tightly and full to eliminate (crushed boxes) once again we apologize that this did not go as planned but once a rental truck has been loaded and left the upload we have no idea or no way of knowing what happens in transit. We cannot for that reason be held responsible which is why we have a policy in place. We take our reputation seriously and we are proud of our referral rate here in **********. we have a year to date referral rate of *****. Satisfaction of 4.88 out of 5 Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Again we apologize we did not exceed this customers expectations.
