Problem: Was not given a quote of how much my cars service would be before they did the work We scheduled an appointment to get our car serviced, oil change and brake change, at 10:30a.m on 9/20/24. When I got there I checked and gave the keys to the auto tech at the desk and he told me that I was all set and asked if I was getting picked up or waiting there. I ended up waiting there. The only thing I was quoted for was the rear brake rotors that would cost around $180 around 12p.m. They finally told me that my vehicle was finished around 3:30p.m and they told me that the cost was $1,045.65. I was not quoted or notified of the estimated price before they did the actual work on the car, other than the one time. I waited there for 5-6 hrs and charged an unreasonable amount for work I would have done on my own, if I knew the price before hand, for a substantially cheaper price. Because I could not afford the price I was forced to signup for a payment plan at a flat rate of $800.We made the appointment on their website which does not give a quote.I was told at the desk that they made the assumption that I was given a quote, and that there is the assumption that I know there will be a payment.I was also told that if I had called to schedule an appointment they would have given me a quote. This is not found on their website. The oil change is under our car's warranty and because we have to sign into their website to set an appointment we were under the assumption that anything on the list of services was under our warranty and extended warranty.

A few months ago, my Mom dropped off her car because the ** quit working. They gave her a rental which is great. Spent close to $2000 to fix the issues. Picked it up no problem, only to find when she drove it home, the ** quit working again. She called Mazda, they said they were closing and to bring it back Monday, She said "No, I'm bringing it back now" So she did. They gave back the rental and she went home. A month or so has gone by with not having her car. Finally done another $1500 or so and she picks it up again. A couple weeks later, something is leaking, so she calls and takes it in again. Couple days later the power steering rack was replaced. She went to pick it up again $2000 later. She turns in keys to rental and walks to her car and the front air dam is broken and hanging. This was not a thing when she brought it in. (We have video proving it wasn't broken by them.) That's 1 thing, but then she gets in and tries to start it and it won't turn over. 3 times and it starts but sounds awful plus a bunch of engine and faulty lights are on. She walks back in and tells them. They give the rental back, but say the air dam was already broken. (Again we have video, it was not broken) And they would figure out the rest. Another day the battery is bad apparently. The battery is newer and was fine. So now she pays another $300 for that plus whatever the dam will cost. They are taking advantage of her. No specific person to blame, but because she doesn't like conflict she gets the c*** end of the deal. The car had 1 issue, and every time it magically has another. What's going on? At this point she should not be paying labor over and over and she should be treated better than this.*********************************** Here is the video, not sure how to post otherwise

The complaint was filed by ********************* daughter. ***** whishes to keep her 2012 mazda 6  with 148273  miles because it was her late husbands car. She has no interest in getting a new one. Her son refed her to us from *************************** because he could not get it in to work on it and we would charge her less than they could. Her car needed a steering rack and a battery. We have completed the repairs. Unfortunately older cars tend to have issues. ****** was    mortified when she found out  ***** had made this complaint. ****** is completely happy with the service she has received. Since our client is happy there is nothing to be done.

On 4/14/2024 I went to Team Mazda in Caldwell Idaho to trade in my car for something more reliable so I sat down with a salesman *************************** and we discussed my options. I was informed that there was only one car on the entire lot that they could get financed for me because my credit is not the best. So i agreed on purchasing the car but To finalize the deal i then sat down with *********************** to go over and sign paper work but he informed that i would need to bring in my title to my trade in, a proof of insurance, a proof of residency and a down payment of 1000 dollars as a down payment before the deal would be finalized. The next morning i found out that i would need full coverage insurance on the vehicle which i could not afford and on top of that they had taken the 1000 dollars from my account without telling me. I then called and asked them why they had pulled money from my account when they had told me to bring it in the next day. i was told by *************************** that since i had told them that i would have it the next day they had a right to withdraw it from my account. But i told **** that the next day that i cant afford the insurance on the car and need to cancel the deal They tell me over the phone that it will cost me 750 dollars out of the 1000 dollars they took to cancel the deal. But I never took possession of the car for the entire 10 days and when i sat down with **** the first thing he told me was that we are going to pretend you took possesion of the car and brought it back which is not true and the entire staff knows the car never left the lot. I think by him telling me this was a clear indication to me that they have no right to any of my money when no deal was finalized. I could write alot more on how i was bullied each step of the process but i wont and i just want my full 1000 dollars back not just 250 dollars of it. I hope that made sense im not the best writer. thank you for your time and understanding.

************ bought a car and did not have all of his stips at the time of delivery. It is not  uncommon for us to keep a customers car here until they bring in the banks required docs. Any time a customer purchases a car and it is pulled of the sales lot. Our customers are subject to a restocking fee if for any reason they are not able to provide the stipulations that the bank requires. I have provided the copy of the form that ************ signed. ************ spent 2-3 hours here and signed all his paperwork and was super excited about his new car. He then decided  two days later that he did not want to pay for full coverage insurance that the bank required. We did nothing wrong and ************ was well aware there is no cooling off period and he knew that he needed full coverage at the time of deal.

Please feel free to reach out to me if there are any further questions.

      Thank You

I did not take possession of the vehicle that is a lie from ***************************** he told me when I sat down to sign papers that we are going to pretend I took the car off the lot which I never did. They are trying to keep my thousand dollar down payment and they dont have the right to keep my money when I never took possession of the car. At this point I have not received any of my down payment which they promised within two weeks

To be clear ***************************** lied about me taking possession of the vehicle and stated in his rebuttal that anytime a car has been taken off the lot that there is a restocking fee. Hes lying the car never left the lot there for there would be no restocking fee. They are just retaliating now that *** backed out of the deal and just wanting something out of the deal which they dont have the right to

      Customer response

      05/08/2024

Also if Im not understanding them correctly about them pulling a car off the lot and there being a restocking fee the car that they tried to sell me was just dropped off by someone else trading it in. So Im not sure where the restocking fee is coming from. I never took possession and there was never a car taken off of the lot in any fashion.

      Customer response

      05/13/2024

I just realized something and that is in order for me to have taken possession of the vehicle I would have had to fulfill the finance companys stipulations. That being proof of full coverage insurance and Proof of residency which I did not provide and in fact why they finally let me out of the deal was because I never gave them such paperwork.Which proves I never took possession of the car and that both ***************************** and *********************** are both lying just to keep my money they are not entitled to. They also informed of that while filling out the paperwork that I could not take possession without those 3 things. But they did take the 1000 from my account that I didnt give them permission to do so which I thought was wrong

      Business response

      05/17/2024

the check was cut 5-13-24 and mailed to *********** on  5-15-2024.

      Customer response

      05/19/2024

So I looked up the cost of a typical restocking fee and this is what I found: Typically, the cancellation option costs between $75 and $250 for vehicles costing less than $30,000, and up to one percent of the purchase price for cars costing $30,000 - $39,999. The dealership may charge an additional restocking fee upon return of the vehicle which once again I never took possession of the vehicle  and up to a maximum of $500. So how does my restocking fee cost $****** because Team Mazda are crooked thats how. We all know there was no restocking fee because the car had gotten traded in the same day we were at the lot looking for a car. They pulled it around for me to look at and it was filthy inside and out with a broken windshield and *************************** informed us that the car was traded in just now as we stood there and thats the only car that I would be able to get financed. Theres no way that car was on a Team Mazda lot in that condition so they are totally lying about a restocking fee because there wasnt one. ********* also lied about me not being able to cancel the deal because he had gotten paid by the finance company before I hit the front door which was also a lie because I called the finance company and they said that they had not received any paperwork from Team Mazda. So *************************** lied about the car being financed and it never was, ***************************** lied about me taken possession of the vehicle which I never did and now they are lying about a restocking fee that never happened and if it did a restocking fee is $250.00 at most. So Team Mazda are just trying to keep $****** of my money for retaliation plan and simple. So Im denying this $250.00 check that they sent me a month later than it was supposed to be delivered to me and Im demanding that my ****** be returned to me ASAP. They just have the money backwards I owe them $250.00 and they owe me $******. So please do the right thing because I cant afford an attorney but will go the extra mile to see this thing through. There is also a mountain of negative pub coming your way once this is all settled and all Ive heard is negative things from everyone I tell my story to about how bad Team Mazda do buisness So my family is sure not the only family these guys have done wrong.  But I will do everything in my power to see that we are the last family you hurt. Team Mazda needs to do the right thing and give me my hard earned money back thank you!

March 14, 2024 I went to TEAM Mazda and started the purchase of a used vehicle. The salesman said I was in luck, they had one coupon left for a warranty that had to be a part of the sale. The finance person I signed documents with said that sometimes we just need to do what we need to do to get where we want to go for now and then I can come in and cancel at any time. When I went in to cancel the following day, I was treated with anger and disrespect. It was explained to me that the "coupon" was really a way that TEAM uses to generate more income to their company because of the kickbacks they get for selling them. After the rude way I was treated and lied to I returned their vehicle and got my Jeep and the downpayment funds I had given them. An investigation needs to be done into this practice of intimidation and lies. The two gentlemen in finance should go through training on how to treat customers with respect and TEAM should not be allowed to use their coupon trick in the future.

I had bought a car and signed the contract and 25 days later they stole my car they repossessed it with no real reason to legally do so. I have been without my car since which has caused me to lose out on a lot of work seeing my family etc. I had given my ***** watch to him to hold onto till I had it paid with ****, and they never gave me my watch back and tried to charge me for the tow. So, I have been lied to cheated and stolen from

On 8/27/22 - *************************** & *************************** came in to purchase a 2020 Mazda CX-30. ******'s score dictated that she required a co-signed, and got ***************** to sign-up and help. Required was proof of income satisfactory to the bank. ******'s phone was touch and go with responses to our inquiry to receive stipulations required from the bank. In the end, ******************************* ************************ was unable to provide proof of income satisfactory for the bank and the approval was reversed. Once the approval was was no more, getting her in contact with her was touch and go, had to enlist the help of Intermountain Recovery to get the vehicle back. Originally, when purchased, ****** had agreed to pay $2000 in down payment, and left us her watch, the one in question, as collateral.

In our Financial Arrangements form, "all charges incurred to be the responsibility of the Buyer". Repo fee and towing equaled $505. Cust put ***** miles on vehicle in time purchased and recovered by dealer (10/01/22) at $.15 p/mile that is $453.75. Lastly, the Restocking fee is $750. Grand totalis $1708.75 that she owes for use of the vehicle. We have offered that if she pay only the Repo & Towing fees, $505 then we would return her watch. She has refused to do so, so the watch is in our safe. Maybe this will help in her process to recover her watch.

      Complaint: 18431556

I am rejecting this response because: I was never given reasonable time to return the car. They took the car back ************************************* which I never even had a voicemail stating anything about. Denial. I had property in the vehicle as well as my watch at dealership and in the signed documents it states that if the deal does not happen to go threw they will give me 30 days to return the vehicle along with refund me. My deposit in this case is my watch. They took it upon themselves to repo the vehicle without truly contacting me about this situation at.all. so I owe nothing because I was not given any notice they just repod my car and told me afterwards because I thought that ********* may have stolen my car again instead of the dealership until I called them asking if they had the car. So I owe them nothing. While they owe me everything that was in my vehicle along with my ***** watch.

      Sincerely,
