      I called North Idaho Dermatology in August of 2023 to see about treatment for a scar. I explained that the scar was 6 months old, and they encouraged me to make an appointment as this was something they had capacity to treat. Because this was cosmetic, I was told to book an appointment with the *** under consultation with one of the medical providers. In order to book the appointment, they needed my credit card information but assured me that the $75 consultation fee would be applied towards the cost of treatment. When I arrived at my appointment, they told me that there was nothing they could do right now because the scar was too new but that the CO2 laser could be used in the future. They encouraged me to make this appointment over the phone knowing there was no treatment they could provide me with at this time. At the end of the consultation the doctor said, come see us back in the spring after it has been a full year. I left feeling annoyed that they had taken my money, and I would have to wait months to come back, but assured that the money I had just paid would be applied to my future visit. Fast forward to Spring of 2024 and I would like to receive the treatment I paid a $75 consultation fee for. I called to make an appointment and they have no record of recommending a laser treatment or an appointment in the future at all. The receptionist explained to me that in order to receive treatment I would need to come in AGAIN for a consultation, this time billed as a medical office visit despite this being a cosmetic procedure offered by the spa. When I questioned that I had already been in for a consultation and asked if this second consultation would also be applied toward the cost of treatment as promised initially, the response was no. Not only would my previous consultation not be applied toward the cost of treatment, no future appointments would be either. REFUND ME MY CONSULTATION FEE! NO SERVICE WAS EVER PROVIDED TO ME!
