We have American moving company in our home in ********** this past Friday to move a **** lb safe . When they came and started to move the safe they had ripped out the plug cord that was on the safe. They had moved the safe to the basement living area when I noticed wires were dangling from the safe. I then went and located the cord that they ripped off of the safe. When I asked the boss **** what had happened and why the cord was ripped off of the safe he got irate and then bailed on the job leaving my **** lb safe in my living space in the basement. We need that company to fix the damages that they caused correctly. They wanted to throw literally throw $20 at me and told me fix it yourself . I was outraged! Bailing on a job after getting caught and not fixing the damages the right way is Unacceptable.Business response

**** called to have a **** lb safe moved from ************* to Newport Wa on July 8th. When we began moving the safe it was still plugged into the wall and a plug came off the cord. These cords have a quick release at he plug so it can be taken in and out of the small hole on the safe. We tried to let them know that the plug just came off the cord and we would put it back on. She was not satisfied with this response and began yelling because she thought the cord was damaged. We tried to reassure her that it was a quick easy "fix" but there was no damage. We then went a step further tried and offered to replace the cord because they are about $20 and she still was not happy with this response and continued yelling at our team.
Our team has been moving safes for over 20 years and install these on a daily basis. We are extremely familiar and knowledgeable with with the wiring for dehumidifiers and climate control. We did everything within our power to rectify the situation with this customer but there was nothing that would make her happy. At our owners discretion, we ceased all work and advised the customer to she would need to find another company to move the safe.
