https://www.facebook.com/SawandCycle83861 I just wanted to let all of my friends know so hopefully they can protect themselves and make sure they are dealing with trustworthy people. On July 7th or so I called ****** up at st maries saw and cycle and asked if the would do a consignment on me 2022 rmax **** 4 seater. He said yes and stated that he'd probably have it sold by the end of the week when I could get it there. I dropped it off on July 9th and signed a contract for him to advertise and sell the utv. And then returned home to wait for it to sell....over the next 4 to 5 weeks I had called to speak with ***** or ****** and neither would return my calls and neither would anyone else, all I was told was they had a guy working on financing and it should go through soon. Then I called on August 15th and got again the same story except this time it was that the bank the guy was going through had just been audited and his loan was in the stack and it could be a couple weeks....I decided to drive to st maries and see what was going on. On the way there I called them again to let them know that I needed either the machine or a check that day. ***** told ******** who works the counter, who is awesome by the way, unfortunately they were making her have to deal with this and be in the middle, but they had her tell me that they would have a check for me. I show up and ****** comes out and tells me that he can get me a check in a couple days....I ask where the machine is....he let his contractor take the machine from the dealership without paying for it...so obviously I am a little upset at this point and just want my machine back. He says it'll take an hour and a half to go get it. The machine now has 200 more miles on it, I don't know what kind of miles these are nice and easy or ridden hard, who knows....****** gives me two oil change kits and says that if I notice anything else when I get home to call him and we'd figure it out. Now they won't speak with me.

      CONSIGNMENT SALE
We sell units on consignment often; this situation was the result of unfortunate timing. By way of explanation, not excuse, here are multiple obstacles we did not expect:
      1. Most consignments are 3+ years old, not 3 months old. This was the current model year with quite a few accessories included; his asking price was fair but challenging for financing a used unit.
      2. The potential buyer works weekdays outside of cell service and only makes it back to town late Friday or Saturday; we ran his application Saturday 7/16 after bank hours.
      3. Banks now require 2 years tax returns to evaluate self-employment, which eliminated our primary lenders on this deal; we re- submitted 7/23 also after hours.
      4. Lifeflight took Robies mom to the *** we missed two weeks of work on unexpected personal matters. We were already short handed, and ******** did the best she could to help all along. I know ******* called to ask for an update during that time, but we had no new information while we were away.

Our first day back was the day ******* came to the shop. We checked with the credit union pending the financing, and they said the deal had been sitting in their queue for a couple weeks but had not been reviewed. The deal should not have drug out like this, but it happened. It was not what we intended. ***** picked up the *** and asked ******* what we could do to make it right? ******* was concerned about the additional miles; in lieu of our offer to  a full service and going through it, he opted for a couple oil change kits he could use. He did not mention any scratches, and he didnt ask for new plastic panels then or anytime since.

When he left, ***** told him if he needed anything to let us know. ************************* his hand, and looked him in the eye, and said he was good. The public ******** rant the following day was unexpected and unnecessary; he did not call after he left the shop and has not called since. He didnt give us an opportunity to address an additional complaint, which we would have, because we don't know what he needs.  We honestly want to make it right.

      Customer response

      Complaint: 17725605

I am rejecting this response because: The claims that Saint Maries Saw and Cycle made were untrue. I did contact them twice after picking the machine up. Both times I gave my name and I was put on hold both times and no one answered the phone either time. It was at that moment that I decided that if they did not even want to speak to me about my concerns that I would then make a ******** post warning others about the service that I received. I trusted ****** and his wife. I wanted this to work out for both of us. The claim that the unit was 3 months old and that it would have been a hard sell due to this is wrong and a way for them to make an excuse. I have since had multiple offers from people wanting to purchase the machine. I decided not to sell it, this particular machine is hard to find and hard to get, ****** had told me that he had a list of people waiting for them. I was asking $25,500. The machine was worth $22,300 with no accessories and it had $3000 in accessories on it. ****** is the one who told me that this sale would be no issues which is why I drove ***** miles one way to go to saint maries because I trusted them when they told me this wouldnt be an issue. Banks will loan 125% LVT or Loan to value the value of the machine at that rate would have been $27,875. I have gotten many loans in my life, it absolutely does not take a month to get financing. Besides the statement that I just made. The whole point of this was a consignment. They literally gave my machine to someone the day that I dropped it off, they let them take it from the dealership without paying for it, without asking me if this was okay, with out anything. Which led to the lack of communication they didnt want to tell me what they did because they knew they were in the wrong. I was making payments on the machine as well paying the insurance on it. While it was supposed to be advertised and sold on my behalf. They did zero advertising on their website or ******** page, or ********** or anywhere. When I left their shop the day I picked up the machine, I did tell ****** that I would accept 2 oil change kits that he said were meant for the **** 1000-4. I got home and these were oil change kits made for the ****** x2/x4 not the **** there wasnt even enough oil in the oil change kits to do an oil change on my machine. I was able to do one oil change, I said no to them doing a full service on it because I would have had to drive 3 hours back one way again to have it done. I called the very next day after I got home because after getting home I found that one of the ramps from my trailer was missing and i wasnt sure if I lost it or they lost it either way. The only way it was missing was because they failed to replace it back on the trailer correctly so it fell out. I was then out $150 for a replacement ramp for my trailer. I called to speak to ****** to ask if he had found the ramp or knew if it was replaced on the trailer correctly. However, I was put on hold for an extended period of time and no one would answer. So at that time I made this complaint with the better business bureau as well as the ******** post. I would love to resolve all of these issues but I have since realized that a business is only as good and honest as the people who run it. They have my phone number as well and have not reached out to me to resolve this issue. At this point it has just been a huge pain, I wish them the best and hope that they can learn from the situation that they chose to put themselves and a customer in, but I dont want anyone else to be treated this way either. I never wanted to have to post on here or ********. I would have much rather they just done the right thing. They can call me and let me know what they want to do to make it right if they would like. I am not wasting any more of my time by trying to get a hold of them. I would gladly rescind my complaint on here as well as on ******** if they decided to contact me and make it right. I am also sorry to hear about ******* mother being life flighted, I hope that everything is okay and hope that she is doing better. I was never told they were out of the office for a family emergency, I was told they were in **** at a ****** dealer conference. Had I known they were going through a family emergency I would have waited to reach out, but the lack of communication that took place did not give me peace of mind and the fact that my machine was not being advertised as agreed also did not give me peace of mind.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************
