      Aug. 26th their installers came to our home to repair some issues with the floor they installed Oct. 2021. After an hour of them working on the flooring, they informed me that the subfloor was wet and needed to dry, then walked off the job. Talking with *********** because its their contracted installer, they had a GS Floor manager call me. *********************** apologized and informed me they would take care of the issue. *********************************, another GS employee, assured us the same thing. GS sent out an inspector, ****, who inspected our floor to measure out what would be needed for completion and to inspect why the flooring failed. He also assured us GS was going to fix our flooring. Four weeks went by and still no flooring. On Sept. 25th, ****** emailed us that due to the presence of black mold and the wetness of the subfloor and removed planks, more flooring would need to be purchased for them to install. My complaint is for their negligence of informing us of black mold nearly five weeks ago and for claiming they would be completing the job their disgraceful installer refused to complete. There are seven of us, including three medically comprised children, living with exposed black mold. Plus, two thirds of my kitchen floor was removed.

      The water damaged appeared to be caused by the dishwasher which had recently been replaced. We did point out to the customer that not only was the ******************** reading a high moisture content, but also that the there were spots that look like they could be mold (we are not a restoration company so we could not validate this).  We explained that it would need to be taken care of as we are flooring installers and do not handle water damage or potential mold. The customer purchased the *********************** and installation through the ********** and is working with them on there concerns. This would not be an installation issues, but is site related issue.

      I am rejecting this response because: What they have said are all lies. They were to come over to replace 9 areas, instead, they removed two thirds of our kitchen. The installer cried about wet floors and showed his moisture meter. I put my moisture meter on the same areas, next to his, and had the same readings. No spot got above 12%, which is considered dry. They also told us nothing about potential mold. In fact, all the installer said was theres water damage, the floor is wet, and put fans on it. Ill be back in a few days. I argued with him and told him he doesnt know what hes talking about and got mad at me. I then proved to him that his original install was garbage, and then he really got mad and left. When I originally called ********** about the 9 areas, in November of 2022, they sent GS Flooring out to inspect our floor. The original installer showed up and immediately claimed water damage and accused us of having a leaking dishwasher. I took pictures of the underneath area of the dishwasher and it was dry. I tried to include, but cant because the system wont allow due to the size of the photo.GS Floor is a company filled with incompetent employees and installers. Also, The ********** are fools for only having one flooring company to do their installs. GS Flooring will continue to do shotty installs with no ramifications. I will make sure that anyone I know, that needs new floor, not to go to **********, due to GS Flooring.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      GS Flooring is an unprofessional company that employs incompetent and deceiving workers across the board, from installers to the office personnel. Its no surprise that they are passing it on to *********** The company is incapable of holding itself accountable for their actions and practices due to their lack of professionalism. Its a shame that ********** only contracts one installation company for their flooring. It creates a monopoly because in order for the floor to be under warranty, it has to be installed by a ********** contractor. That provides the inept people at GS Flooring a blank check every month to do unsatisfactory worth with no consequences. The multitude of ****** and yelp reviews mirror our experience with this company. Never again will I purchase flooring from ********** as long as GS Flooring is their installation contractor in the Chicagoland area.
