I hired *************************** of Frankies Services **** in ******, ** on 5/20/22 to do a renovation of my condo. The completion date per the contract was 7/15/22 for renovations of two bedrooms, a living room, a guest bathroom, a kitchen, and flooring throughout.By the completion date of 7/15/22, the guest bathroom was only partially complete and I could not shower until 8/5/22. The tiles was so poorly done that there are numerous cracks, chips, and theyre uneven; there was no running water in the tub because the main water line was clogged; I had to pay an independent plumber to rout the line out on top of the plumbing charge in my contract. In the rest of the apartment, the vinyl flooring has gaps and cuts around the doorways. The paint job is uneven/chipping; baseboards are separating; electrical work was left with open circuit breaker boxes, uncovered outlets, and fixtures were installed upside down. I was charged for doors that were not installed and he refused to provide a bill for (I was charged $1.8k and then later told that they only paid $1.5k for them). The reason Im filing this complaint is: (1) to detail the poor workmanship; (2) because of the fact that Frankies Services **** did not fulfill their contractual obligation to finish work on the completion date of 7/15/22 and before my move in date of 7/20/22; (3) because of the blatant lack of attempt to fix any of the numerous problems that were pointed out to ****. I fired **** on 10/7/22, which he readily agreed to, after paying $48,568.50 total. I emailed him on 12/1/22 requesting a refund of $7,350 for the unfinished work, as well as the work that is detailed below. He responded denying my refund request but admitted to the work being incomplete. On 12/27/22, I sent a final and more detailed refund request of $7,650, which included the door overpayment and went unanswered. *** had to hire a new contractor to redo all of Juans work and sadly, everything but some of the floor is being replaced.
