      Original file date 1/10/2024 - called because their repair person said I owed money over my $1000 deductible 4/9/2024. State farm said they did not receive any supplemental quotes and I have been trying to get them to fix this with their hire roof company *********** *********** and the state farm reps do not call back and I have called multiple times over this period. Then I get an email saying I owe because of state minimums but I paid my deductible. I get a different agent at state farm ******, and she does not know why I was sent that email because again I paid my $1000 deductible. I have been trying to speak to a manager and still have not received a call back. For the money I pay this is very poor customer service and I will never use state farm again.

      After I filed this complaint they must have received it and they paid the amount due to the company. It is a shame that I had to go through these measures though to get what I’m entitled to and what I have paid for.

      On June 13, 2024, we sold our home in South Dakota and bought a home in Montana (closed on both the same day) I notified our State Farm Agent, **** ******* *** ***** ******* ******* *** ******** ** ***** to cancel our policies that date and notified our State Farm Agent, ***** ******** **** ** ***** *** **** *** ********* ** ***** to start our policies there affective that date. All policies are paid in full. We were notified by **** ****** office refunds were sent 6/18 and 6/27, total amount $544.02. It is now October 11, 2024, and we have not received them. That is 4 months!. I have contacted our agent several times with a response that they were reissued and will arrive in 5-7 days and they never arrive. I think they sent them to my street address. The post office does not deliver mail to our street so provides a PO Box and said they send back any mail addressed to our street. I notified State Farm of this aaps well. It has been almost 4 months and I still do not have my policy refunds. I asked if they could send them to me with tracking and they said no. I keep getting a different answer when I inquire. My Montana office also owes me a policy refund for a change we made to our motorcycle policy and that has been almost two months. Very very poor customer service. I would like the refund issued immediately and sent to me with a tracking number to assure they get here. I have waited a reasonable amount of time for a resolve and there has been none, I asked if they could direct deposit the checks into the account I pay my premiums out of if that would help and was told that is not an option. I can’t apply them to a future premium because I no longer live in South Dakota. I am at my wits end on this and need some help. ***** *********

      State Farm finally issued the checks and we have received them. This complaint can be closed. FYI: I never did hear from State Farm regarding this complaint. I am hopeful of better customer service is the future from State Farm.

      I requested flood with our renters policy and confirmed I was covered but didn’t write the policy correctly as discussed and left me vulnerable and I didn’t find out until a claim.       This complaint against State Farm is like other complaints the company has against them. Hail storm in the spring of 2024 damaged my whole roof according to several roofing companys. The shingles on my roof were discontinued and the maker of the the shingle said they have no shingle that could be used, and to replace the whole roof. State Farm emailed me to not listen to ***** the manufacturer and that State Farm says it is ok to use another type of shingle even though ***** said my roof would fail. after several months of arguing State farm agreed that the whole roof needs to be replaced but will not fund the cost of the roof replacement. They left out all labor costs, taxes and all line item costs were reduced to pre2024 levels. these are delay tactics State Farm is using or the claim specialist is that bad. I filed a complaint with the ******** **** ** ********* ***** ****** ****** . State of Missouri has had there share of complaints with State Farm and has had good results at having them resolved. My policy is a replacement cost policy and the only out of pocket cost to me is my deductible, there offer so far does not cover half of the roof.

      I was in an at fault car accident on 12/08/23 State Farm took responsibility for this accident and I have two Bills from the hospital with a total of $9,216.90 That I have sent over to State Farm (7) times with no response. I have sent a total of 13 emails and (6) + calls and do not get a return call from ***** *******, Who is my claim specialist for this claim. I am constantly being threatened that this will go to collections and I can not even get a call back from State Farm.

      A neighbors tree fell on my house 7/15/24. His insurance company says he is not liable. I contacted my insurance company and filed a claim 7/15/24. It is now 9/24/24 and the claim is still in review. I had to repair my electrical because the tree ripped the riser off my house $4000. My roof needs repair, light post, and gutter. I've filed a complaint with State Farm and still no resolution. My claim agent is ***** ****** who says she hasn't received pictures from me. I sent them 3 times.

      I have been told that an auto accident is showing up on my records as at fault from an accident that I was involved in on 04-11-23, however the accident was clearly the other driver's fault in which we both had the same insurance carrier at the time. I've reached out to both the insurance company claims department and was told that I had to contact the agent whom that was the agent at the time, however I have been told by both that they aren't alle to discuss due to open claim and attorney. This is and has affected me being able to get lower rates and has also affected why my rates were higher in which I have been paying higher insurance rates as a result. I am needing this removed from whatever records that insurance companies use to determine pricing and eligibility to get insurance, I am also needing to be refunded for any amounts that I have overpaid through my current insurance in which I will at some point request from them as well after I get this off of my record.
