Dear BBB,I am writing for my in ******************* and ***********************. They are our elderly parents. On Mach 16, 2022 they received their monthly statement (account *********) sharing charges for the TV/phone of $123.25 and a $783.50 additional charge labeled "payment reversal". To their surprise this **** was $914.98. (Normal billing currently is $123.25). There also is payment reflected for $123.25 via a personal check. After several attempts (47 calls) from ***** for a resolution ATT ********** in one call shared she should go to the bank to prove a payment reversal did not occur ( CFCU **************************************************/ https://www.mycfcu.com/). ***** went to the bank and went through her statements the last 10 years and nothing was there that a payment reversal occurred. The bank sent a note on this to ATT& *********** On another call AT& shared they never received it.The 47 calls occurred from March to **** ***** and ***** have been faithful paying customers for roughly 30 years never missing a payment for the services. They have tried numerous attempts to resolve yet have to speak with a new person each time to explain the situation. So, no resolution Service was interrupted, late fees and fees for calling support have been added. All they want is this to be reviewed by someone who is perhaps in a senior role, and it removed from the billing as they will see this is erroneous.. They also do not want their credit affected which is also a fear. They have since cancelled the service in its entirety . ( last page of scan shares equipment being returned). They are asking for some help to get this resolved as it is not helping to have to talk with a new person each time. The bank is also willing to be involved as well.It makes no sense and their is no proof on AT&T's********** end that this is a legitimate fee.Thank you for the help

I have had residential phone service with **** for over 25 years and over the last several years to current my phone line keeps having problems and I'll have to call and have **** repair. Well, very few times have I received credit for being without service. Most recently in April, 2022 the continued phone line problem has progressed to where I have phone service off and on throughout the day. When I try to contact **** I am put on hold for long periods of time and most times my call is dropped and I have to call back. I have made numerous reports of my phone trouble because I have lifeline on my phone and need for my phone service to be working. It seems I cannot get anywhere with **** and yet the company continues to collect my monthly fee. I need my phone line repaired permanently so that this ongoing issue stops and I can have the phone service I pay for monthly. I would also like to receive credit for the periods of off and on throughout the day of no service.
