3:00 or 4:00 on a Sunday I brought in my dying cat banks are closed and unless I could give them $2,000 at that moment they were not going to even accept my cat to try to save it reluctant to use my bank funds because that amount requested would probably not have gone through. Turned out to be a bad idea. My account was frozen so none of the money in my bank could pay for this $2,000. I had to bother all my friends and neighbors that early in the morning to try to secure $2,000 which I finally did. Then after they accepted, the cat informed me that unless I came up with another $1,600 by the end of that same day they would give the cat back to me in any condition it had to be. At that point if I didn't have more money and bring it home and possibly watch it die because they said the 2000 would probably not be enough. I raised another $1,600 before the end of the day and gave it to them. Eventually the cat made it through and they gave it back to me. That should have been it. That should have been all of it. I gave them everything they asked for. They demanded it at the exact moment of service now weeks later they're telling me I still owe them more money and they're sending me texts after text telling me I still owe them money and after I explained to them that's not possible. They got whatever they got and that's it. Now they're sending me a letter threatening to sue me. I want them to acknowledge whatever I gave them and then leave me the h*** alone. Possibly an apology but not necessary

Shortly after midnight on Monday, November 20th, 2023, my miniature goldendoodle began vomiting bile uncontrollably and having uncontrollable diarrhea with a metallic smell. We took her to MedVet for treatment. Upon admission they took her away from us and put her in a kennel for observation--in that kennel she had more accidents, necessitating her kennel to be cleaned out 3 more times. They diagnosed her with gastritis, gave her anti-nausea meds and fluids and sent her on her way. She continued to have symptoms (they never abated) and very soon after returning home (1.2 mile drive home) she hemorrhaged blood. Three hours later at 9am, when she was STILL symptomatic, I took her to a different vet, in *******,**, who IMMEDIATELY identified her gastric ulcer, tested for a UTI (which she had) and provided appropriate medication that resolved her symptoms. He also told me that he suspected that the rectal exam at MedVet could have contributed to the **** bleeding. MedVet refused to take responsibility, to apologize for their malpractice, or to refund the $1,206. Note that they never even indicated that an ulcer could be the cause of this (much less a UTI contributing), both of which a ****** search reveals are common issues in dogs, both of which can be deadly if untreated. When I later asked why this was never brought up as a possible diagnosis, the employee ***** said "If we were to tell you everything it could be, you would be here all night." I was there all night. It's their job to diagnose her. They cost my dog time, pain, and suffering and they cost me an astronomical amount of money. I want it back. It was lucky I had resources to take time off work and spend more money for a competent doctor who understood how to use diagnostic tools appropriately but if I hadn't, my dog could have passed away. This is their fault, their failing, and they need to make it right.

10/2023 Location Medvet October, 2022, my daughters dog **** was seen by her vet, at which time **** was having seizures. That afternoon, **** was rushed to an emergency pet hospital and was there for 3 days, in very poor condition, having one seizure after another, and after 3 days and a lot of expenses, this pet hospital was unable to diagnose Izzy too.We took **** from the emergency vet, which was in ********* where my daughter lives, to Chicago and saw ************************Within a couple of hours, **** was diagnosed with MUE, and given the medications needed to help her. After 2 days, we were able to take Izzy home and felt confident that she was on the road to recovery.I am not going to sugar coat that at the time we were checking out and paying, (over $10,000) on top of the previous vets that the amount that was quoted from Medvet was not the same as we were told. Did we get ***et, absolutely. We were already frazzled over this horrible disease that **** has. Our goal was just to leave and have Izzy heal. We went around and around for at least an hour until finally we were told that we were right, and what was told to us was incorrect. At that time one of the people we spoke to was *************Were we frustrated, tired, drained yes, but just so thankful at the amazing care **** had.We have had since 2 follow *** and **** has been doing great, until she has skin issues that *********************** did not know what it was and she was able to get us in to dermatology the following week.I brought **** in the morning and dropped her off. Later I picked up **** and spoke with *********************** at which time she was the advocate for dermatology, which was told to us. Izzy has a fungal infection and a culture was taken. We were told to follow up 2-3 weeks. I live in Highland Park and thankfully was able to get an appointment in your Northfield facility on the 22nd of February, I was going to be bringing **** since I live 10 minutes away. When my daughter was going to pay, the charges were over $200 that she was told by ************************. It was kinda of a back and forth conversation, no yelling no screaming nothing for ************************ to be ***et. I was there I heard the entire conversation. My daughter did pay the amount over $400. She NEVER said she would not pay.Fast forward to currently, I called in the morning and spoke to the dermatology office with some concerns. **** had a scab fall off that did not look good, and I asked if her culture was back. Thats it, that was the extent of the conversation. I was told ******************* will call me.*********************** left her a message, which was forwarded to me too, stating that after conversations with both *********************** and ******************* that it is in the best interest that medvet sever ties with us they felt, in my opinion assumed, that they had reason to believe that we felt **** was not getting good care. That is all my daughter conveyed to ************************ that she was so thankful she found them. I am also more than taken a back that my name was included. I reside in an entire different place and state as my daughter. Now to the main point. We NEVER said that, ever, in fact all we did was praise them. We never ever even met, saw, talked to ******************* for her to even be included in this discussion.**** who has a debilitating disease and HAS to have medical care at all times, is now left with no vet at all. It is months to see both a vet dermatologist and a neurologist. Its the fact there are limited neurological vets in the area, limited dermatology in this area and needs to be seen now not a month or two from now. How could anyone who works in a vets office consciously do this and have a dog not being followed on all the meds she is on?We are literally left hanging with a very sick dog.
