On September 24th I purchased a 2000 ****** Legacy Brighton Wagon from Elite ********** out of ******* ********. After getting the car home I smelled burning oil. As a veteran army mechanic, I work on my own vehicles so I inspected the car for the source of the burning oil. It was found that the head gaskets were leaking oil and coolant on to the exhaust manifold. I also found other issues such as broken coil spring on the front right as well as tires that were worn with one being completely unserviceable. The ****** now needed a head gasket replacement. On October 3rd, I pulled the engine and sent pictures of the issue to **** at Elite ********* as Illinois has a statutory used car warranty of 15 days 500 (815 ILCS 505/2L) as long as the vehicle has under ******* miles. The ****** has 138xxx miles at time of informing the seller. **** responded to the text messages regarding the problems, he saw the images and said to contact him the following week about the issue and that he will work on something for me in the meantime. The following week, on October 10th, 2024 I reached back out to **** to see what he has come up with. At this time, the iPhone messages I had sent him, which were blue, turned green and I received no response from him. I also tried to reach out through email with no avail. I was requesting $450 to help out with the cost of parts. If I was going to try and get every ***** I would also factor in the 11.9 hours shop labor time the factory says it takes to make the repair and that would be well over $1200. I wouldnt even be making the complaint if he would have responded to try and help but instead he just vanished and doesnt care. I also have a screen grab of the entire conversation but it wouldnt allow me to add a video to the attachments.

I saw a vehicle that I was interested in. I called elite auto group to inquire. The person (****)was very kind and indicated , that he sells cars that will last 10 years or more. I asked him if air conditioner worked. I told him Im in *********** and it's important that A.C. Work. He said it did. I told him I was apprehensive about buying online without seeing, touching the vehicle in person. **** indicated ..that I sound like a reasonable person so he will add a 30 day warranty on the vehicle. Then the problems start. IT worked works alright for like 10 minutes then gives out. Took it in for repair . AC needed a compressor kit , which included evaporator and hoses. It also needed a fan clutch, then I noticed a on my driveway a oil patch , well its coming from the truck . The truck has oil leak too. The total to fix AC is 1800 dollars , just for AC ....the oil leak will need gaskets on the oil pan and rear engine seal. 1500 for that. I reached to **** about AC he said Oh it just needs freon . He offers me 150 dollars . This person talks a great talk , but refuses to take responsibility. He's using the "Its a used car card " I agree that its used , however he should indicate whats wrong with vehicles instead of just saying they are looked over quickly. People can make a judgement if upfront info is given. I feel I should be compensated the price of AC repair and Oil leak repair . I have put 2800 dollars into this so far. I feel I should compensated that amount.

I was told the van was in perfect shape that I bought a 2009 it's got dents in it the paint job looked like somebody did it with a roller the radio don't work I had to put $100 into the doors so that I could open them from the outside the tire pressure gauge and one of the Wheels shows on the dash the van runs and drives fine but I was told it was never in an accident there was no dents and it was an excellent shape I want $3,000 back at least in a new radio cuz the radio does not work and I will be happy

We are reaching out in regards to complaint ID: ********. This is Elite Auto Corporation. We purchase rust free vehicles and deliver them to our customers with the explanation that all vehicles have regular wear and tear, as they are used vehicles. Our process here is straightforward. We make sure all vehicles get road tested and excelerate, shift and brake properly, with the vehicle neither pulling to one side. We rate all of our vehicles to be in fair or above condition, meaning Paint, body, body lines, frame, suspension etc. Essentially, our process makes it so our vehicles are performing properly and safely. We recommend a third party inspection to all our buyers. You can see that in all our reviews on Google.

Unfortunately, we regret our sale to ******* as he raised some red flags from the beginning. Some of the red flags showed that he may potentially be an impulsive buyer. Some signs included excessive calls and extremely long texts with very short replies from us. Another sign was that ******* was waiting to sell his car to someone just to purchase this vehicle.  In our opinion, there were some things stated by ******* that showed his intentions were to get more for less; which is fine but it can introduce a perspective of the current outcome. For example, even though the van was priced well, ******* was still adamant to get a lower price; which he succeeded in.

Bluntly speaking, our goal is to sell a solid vehicle to a solid buyer.
We sell dozens of cars a month and we stand by our vehicles. Majority of the cars sold have straight bodies and haven't been wrecked. We also have a free Carfax linked to every vehicle on our site.

We spoke with ******* and offered him a new radio, (several hundred dollars) for his potential satisfaction to get him to move on and satisfy his lack. It is hard for us to work with ******* as it's one sided with him. In our eyes, this is a case of buy fast and complain later. We don't have any negative feelings toward this transaction as we catered to ******* and his wants (might be a reason that got ** here in the first place). We were honest and straightforward. We had ******* check the Carfax, and we recommended that he get an inspection. We told him to expect regular wear and tear on this construction van.

We sell vehicles to folks that appreciate them, the proof behind the quality of our vehicles is shown in our model. We mainly sell and deliver vehicles out of state and we have to have good inventory to be successful in this business model.

We also think ******* doesn't want to work with us or come down to some normal solution. He calls **** several times a day. ****'s role is transport and title clerk and has nothing to do with this as that has already been explained to ******* but he ignores this. He barely calls the main line. To our acknowledgement we wouldn't be surprised if ******* subconsciously thrills in the chaos and drama.

Please see the attachments regarding this case.

      Thank you very much,

I wired ****** to a car dealer called Elite ********* in ******* two weeks ago(4/13). They mailed the title, but they have not shipped the car. I called, and told them they need to follow through, as they have my money. They have not shipped the car, and have not provided any response. I am seeking the return of my money, plus monies for wasting 2 weeks of my time.
