On december 2,2023 I had a bottom lock changed on my front door, and its working fine, but he took the top lock off because i had planned to get the top lock changed as well but i had changed my mind and told him that i would get it done at a later date. but when he put the lock back on he messed it up there was nothing wrong with that top lock at all, now when I leave out the door does not work, he never checked the lock before he left to make sure it was working properly , now they wanna charge me ***** to come back for his mistake. I just want my lock fixed back the way it was.Initial Complaint

I called for an 24 hour locksmith thur this ************* United lock ***** they sent out an technician around 7:30 pm he checked out looked at my car and told me I needed an ignition switch put in I told him ok u can start I left and went in-the house he was there until 9:40 pm he called my phone and told me to come out then he said I cant fix it I said y not he said I dont no y i cant program the key or box so I ask him to call the office so I can talk to them he said they will giv u a call in the morning I waited until 12 oclock pm the next day no one call me so I went out to my car and he had left the steering wheel loose it was a black box on the floor broken and it looked like he tryed to glue it back together so I call my friend and he came by here. He said this the programming box He said it goes right here it looks like he broke it and then tryed to glue it back together. He said thats why the key wont program because of this box so i notice black tape around the top of my key when I took the tape off, he had cut my chip out of my key, I call this number to let them no wat happened so said Ill call u right back let me reach out to the guy she never call back I called her back. She said hes not responding. She asked me to send her a picture of what he broke. I sent it to her then I call her back and said have you heard anything from the guy yet she said no so she gave me his number to talk to him he told me not to dial his number call the office number so when I called the office number again, she went on to tell me they were not responsible for what he done he self contractInitial Complaint

On 7/9/2023 I locked my car key in my car. I called a local number ************** for a locksmith - I do not know the name of the business associated with this number, but the operator said she would "find" a locksmith who could come out to my location (************************* *********************************************************). A technician arrived approx. 30 minutes later - he told me it would cost $50.00 for the service call and $75.00 to open the car door. I agreed to that amount ($125.00) plus 8% which he said was a service charge to use my credit card. I agreed to that too. When he charged my credit card, the total amount $243.00. He had added $100.00 to the basic cost (before the 8% service charge for using my credit card). I was confused about the added $100.00, but it took me 2 days before I decided that it was unacceptable to just "let it go" without inquiring further. I called ICH Door Lock Services number as listed on my receipt - the gentleman I spoke with denied ever servicing me - he said "we work by phone numbers only" and denied having my phone number in their records. Their business name is clearly on my receipt. So I then called the local phone number I had originally called on July 9. The first person I talked to (he said his name was ******) refused to answer my questions and refused to let me speak with the owner. He specifically said "You are NOT going to speak with the owner". Then a "supervisor" named ******* called me back - same attitude, just arguing with me - when I asked again to speak with the owner he said "You can't speak with the owner - "he is out of the country". I asked "*******" for a refund of the extra $100.00 charge that he could not account for, but he refused. He said there is no "formal charge rates" - the technician can charge "whatever he thinks" at the time of his service. I have not been able to get a fair resolution for my justified complaint, so I am asking ** as the BBB to help me resolve this issue, plus require this company to be "up front" and responsible to their customers. Thank you.
