I was at Joliet U pull it just a few weeks ago to purchase used parts and wanted to use my store credit of $39.80, credit that I got in 2021 when I tried to buy a coil for a jeep Cherokee, I paid for it and noticed that it was cracked. I decided not to take it and asked for my money back . they have refused and issued store credit . I talked to the manager and he assured me that they will honor the store credit any time. Time has passed and last time I was there ,two weeks ago , they have refused to honor the credit saying that too much time passed, so they took money from me without giving me anything in return , even though the manager made a verbal promise to me , to not worry about the expiration date , given the fact that the part never left the store . Please help me get my money back or the store credit reinstated so I can use it at my next visit there. Again I stress this was not a part that was taken home and returned , the part never left the store and they never returned my money. I have copies of the receipts available . thank you ! LC

      To whom it may concern,
************ is saying he talked to the manger about his store credit stating we gave him a verbal promise to honor and do not worry about the Expiration date.

My name is *******************************, Im the General Manger for Joliet U-Pull-It. I assure you that I do not give Verbal Agreements on any credits, Returns etc. I Follow the company rules as its states on the receipt. I also sent you two example copies of receipts 1) tells you about our policy at the bottom of the receipt 2) store credit: if you look at the receipt it says issued at 06/18/2023 expires 09/16/23 so you have 3 months to use your credit then it will expire. My parts associates are also trained to tell our customers to look at their receipt and the date it expires. We feel this customer has been treated fair and does not deserve any sort of refund. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my cell phone at ************.

      Thanks, *******************************

I am rejecting this response because: the business action is equivalent to stealing from me. They took money from my credit card and I took no part for the equivalent. I insisted about a refund and indeed I talked to the manager in charge who has refused the refund .He has promised that ,because of the circumstances, the business will honor the refund. that is the reason I did not worry about the expiration date . After the expiration day has passed , they have refused,  which is in fact  stealing from me with impunity .I advise the manager and the business  to honor the credit  , it is the right thing to do. I hope you value your customers .

      Sincerely,

      *********************
