In February 2023 their rep came and gave me a quote to trim an apple tree and remove and ***** grind another tree in my front yard. My son was being treated for cancer at the time and we were often not home because of treatments needed at the hospital. I paid for the service at the time of quote as I wasn't sure if I would be home when they did the trimming and removal in mid-March. No one showed up. I called in April and was told one of the employees had COVID and that was why no one showed up. I called again in May and was told that there had been too much rain for the equipment to come out and trim and remove the tree and grind the *****. In June I was told that I would be first next week and that they put my name at the top of the work list. They told me this again in July. Now it is after Thanksgiving. My tree has not been trimmed nor has the other one been removed. This company did not want to honor its quote and do the work for the services paid. I still have the work order that says paid in full that is signed and dated for Feb 23, 2023.Business response

Yes, the customer is correct he did pay for ********************** upfront, which we normally dont do but due to the circumstances of him being gone all the time I accepted the check, we held the check and we did not cash it or deposit it until the work was gonna be completed during the course of Covid, a lot of my employees fell off due to the fact they had caught Covid some even are no longer with us. I never deposited the check, and I have slowed back on work greatly due to the fact of *****, and then recently since then shortage of employees to hire, I will shred his check at the office on Monday and he is more than welcome to look for another company. Sorry for the inconvenience and the late response.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The work was still not accomplished. If they were not going to be able to fulfill the contract work stated on the quote due to staffing issues, they could have said that immediately instead of telling me every time I called that someone would be out next week to do it. While i understand that things happen that are out of the business's control, I as the customer am not responsible for that. I would expect the business to provide better customer ********************** in keeping me informed as to the status of the work expected, not make me call every week/month to find out what's going on.
Shredding the check is fine and finally letting me know your not going to do the work is good. Now I can look for another company to do the work needed. It is unfortunate that it came to this because I enjoyed meeting ******* and he was very nice and I was looking forward to working with this company.

The company removed a tree from my neighbors backyard and used my property without my permission to access the tree. In the process they destroyed approximately **** sq feet of my yard (completely turned my grass into dirt). I contacted the company and they are refusing to accommodate the repair of my yard. There was garbage laying all over my property including pop bottles, straw rappers, dirty rags, and a half eaten sandwich left sitting on my landscaping bricks. I have pictures of everything including one of there trucks in my driveway.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:They clearly used machinery on my property I have photos of tire tracks. I am rejecting the response because my house is for sale under contract and the buyers are not happy with their resolution. They would like sod to be laid and have the lawn replaced to look the way it did before they trespassed on the property. Photos I have submitted clearly show damage done to the yard by heavy machinery (bobcat/skid steer). My stepson was home at the time and watched them drive on my property and take their lunch on my landscaping in my yard! I am planning on turning this over to the homeowners insurance and just letting them deal with it.
