My account number is ********. In December 2022, I had dental work done at Aspen Dental. I have promptly paid any bills sent. About 15 months later, I received a NEW bill for $419.23. The statement date is March 7, 2024. This bill came with a flier that acknowledged "We were delayed in sending you this bill. To show our appreciation, we're offering you a 20 percent discount, if you pay your bill in full." The expiration date of this discount is 7 days (3/15/24) from the statement date. I did not even receive this entirely unexpected bill within the discount period. I finally got in touch with someone at the customer service line and said that this was an unexpected bill sent about 1 year and 3 months after the service. That alone is deeply problematic and highly questionable. It looks a lot like a bad-faith predatory billing practice. ******* I spoke with asked if I was willing to pay in full today, and if so, he would see if he could reapply the discount. I said I would. I was placed on hold, and he came back to tell me he can't offer the discount because I was "too late." To be clear, that means I was being told that I was "too late" for a 7 day window on a discount--- by the company that sent me a surprise bill 1.3 years after a service. I declined to pay on the phone. Then I went to the website, which still offered me the 20 percent discount. So I went ahead and paid the discounted rate of ******, just because it gave me the ability to and I didn't want any fees to accumulate while I dispute it. That should pay my balance in full, but it's difficult to tell if that discount still being available is a glitch. The payment receipt issued does not include an account balance so I don't know if it cleared the balance to zero or not.At the least, my $****** payment should resolve this balance. But this bill NEVER should have been issued 1.3 years after the service, and I strongly question its legitimacy. Therefore, I request a refund of $******.

Aspen Dental in Melrose Park, ******** phone # ************* is not verifying the check number of my refund check in the amount of $1,435.65. Th check was sent on Nov. 29,2021 Monday. This check was sent from Headquarters from ******** but they do not answer their phones in that office to verify any check.I do not appreciate this kind of run-around of finding a way not to pay what I am owed.If they can not answer their phones from where this check was sent from then they need to find another to pay me. I paid this company in cash for $1,435.65 and want my money.A ********* Currency in ******************* phone # ************** refusing to cash the (Out of State)refund check in the amount of $1435.65 I received from Aspen Dental Company.
