I got an oil change on 05/14/2022; as soon as I left the establishment my car was smoking. I returned my car to the Take 5 and they told me it was spilled oil which they cleaned, told me I had no leaks, and gave me $5 for a car wash. I informed them that I was moving to ******* the next day which is the only reason why I got the oil change. 4 hours into my drive I realized my car was still smoking and I called the place which they had me check the oil level and told me to take it to a Take 5 in *******. The manager of the Take 5 in ******* cleaned it once again but as soon as I got to the first red light it was smoking. He then told me it was a head gasket and that was something they do not fix. I took my car to another shop which they fixed the head gasket and the leak was so bad I had to get new spark plugs. I tried to contact the manager from Take 5 but I did not receive an answer for days. My car was still smoking after the fix and now I am being told it could possibly be the housing unit. The regional manager for Take 5 reached out to me but he was very unhelpful and basically told me there was nothing they are going to do. My car has never smoked before, it is not over heating, and my check engine light is not on. This establishment needs to take some kind of responsibility in what happened to my car. I paid $93 to the business and $373 to get the gasket fixed and $14 for a car wash that did not fix the issue. Now i am going to have to pay an additional $100 for a diagnosis test to see where the smoke is actually coming from. I feel as though Take 5 should refund me for the inconvenience that I was caused and pay for the diagnosis test, and if the issue comes from something they did, they should pay for the service. All of the managers are rude and inconsiderate. No one has apologized or showed any empathy to the fact that I drove 16 hours with a smoking car AFTER they told me it would be okay.
