We ate dinner on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Los Angeles Cafe in Mokena, IL. The bill was $56.79. The lady at the register said the transaction did not go through and charged it a second time to our debit card. Before leaving the restaurant, we showed her that the transaction had gone through twice on our bank account. She said it didn't go through on her end twice and that one of the charges would be cancelled on our account On Monday, September 11, our bank account showed that it paid the restaurant twice in the amount of $56.79. We went into the restaurant twice with proof that it had charged our account twice and we called a third time after getting documentation from our bank that they had charged our account twice. *****, the manager refused to refund the $56.79 and insisted they were only paid once. All we ask is that we are refunded the $56.79.Business response

At LA Cafe, we try to better serve any and all customers that come in through our door, on 9/9/2023, we received a complaint about a duplicate charge, attached i have added a report of any and all transactions for 9/9/2023. **** card ending in ****, was only charged once for the amount of $56.79. Therefore most likely a glitch on the bank end, any other questions can please feel free to text at **************

I am rejecting this response because: I am enclosing a copy of my bank register showing that the charge of $56.79 was paid twice on 9/10/23 to LA Cafe. We brought this information into the restaurant to show them. I am also enclosing the 2 receipts that ***** ran for our **** card on 9/9/23 because she said the first one didnt go through. We alerted her that night & again on 9/11/23 that LA Cafe had charged our bank account. Each receipt has a different reference number one ending in 526 & one ending in 527. When we spoke with ***** on 9/11/23, she asked for our bank information and said she would contact them. We also contacted our bank on 9/11/23 regarding the duplicate charge, started an investigation and were told by ************************* who signed the enclosed bank register sheet that LA Cafe had been paid twice.
