I had purchased car wash tokens at my local Super Wash in ************ right before they switched ownership (which I knew nothing about). I have a total of 9 of them to be used and they are the blue tokens. I went to wash my vehicle today and was told that the ********, ** Super Wash no longer accepts the blue tokens and only the gold ones. The new owner apologized for me being out the money as he wouldnt replace them. He stated I can contact corporate but they wont replace them as corporate will tell me to use the Super Washs that are far out of town for me that still accept the blue tokens. It was suggested I go to the ***************** or Norwalk, ** Super Wash as they still accept the blue tokens. I do not go that far out of town and especially just for a car wash. Also, the tokens state that they never expire and when I purchased them they were blue and replaced by the gold. How was I to know this? A car wash token is a car wash token and they clearly state, never expire so if it switches from a blue token to a gold token it should still accept the never expired blue token or exchange it for the gold tokens. Also, on the never expires blue tokens it states ******** accepts them so if they no longer accept them than they need to exchange me the gold tokens. I am asking that your company please replace my 9 blue car wash tokens for the gold ones that the ********, ** Super Wash accepts or send me a check in the amount of ********** tokens ($72) so that I may purchase the gold ones. I will attach photos of your envelope stating no expiration along with the tokens themselves. I do not want to be told that I have to go 1 hour out of town to use the blue tokens. It states on the blue tokens accepted at ******** location so if theyre not going to accept those blue never expiring blue tokens than I should get the gold ones to replace them or a refund for ********** tokens ($72 that was paid for them).Business response

We would like to clarify that we are the Franchisor of the Super Wash facility in ********, **** and we do not own this car wash facility in question. It was purchased by a new owner in 2022, and as such, we do not have direct control over the operations or management. Upon reviewing the details of the complaint with the new owner, it appears there was a misunderstanding. The new owner is willing to accommodate the customers request to replace the blue tokenotes with the gold tokenotes. We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused.Could the customer stop by the car wash facility to swap out the tokenotes or would they prefer someone to contact them?We appreciate your assistance in facilitating the resolution process. Better Business Bureau:Thank you for getting involved and contacting the new business owner about the new token notes. I would not have received replacement token notes had it not been for your involvement in this situation.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
