08/27/2022 I went to cash my security deposit check in the amount of ******* and was charged ***** to cash it. I was told it would take up to 7 to 10 business days for the check to clear, the check cleared within the 7-business day. I was given a receipt with my name and last 4 digits of my social security number to come and pick up the funds along with two money order for the amount of the check minus the check cashing fee of *****. I wanted to come and pick up the funds after the check cleared but wasn't allowed to pick up the funds due to management/corporate saying that I had to wait until Sept. 12, 2022, even though the check had already cleared. On Sept 12, 2022, I went to pick up the Funds and still was unable to retrieve the funds because west suburban currency exchange made the money orders out to myself and two other people whom name was on the original check. I contacted corporate and was told they don't take phone calls and couldn't speak to anyone on this matter. I contacted the currency exchange to request a refund on the fee I paid to them in the amount of *****. so, I can cash the money orders at another currency exchange because they are closed and not operating during the times all parties are available to be present to cash the money orders west suburban currency exchange provided to me until the original check cleared and was told my ************ are 1. wait until all parties can be present or 2. go to one of their other locations that's open later than them which is ***** minutes away to avoid being charged another fee for cashing the money orders they gave to me while I wait for my check to clear. I asked for my check back so I can go else were to retrieve my funds immediately and was told they already cash the check and that those are my only two options. At the time of all parties cashing the original check I was given a receipt to retrieve the funds and was told we all didn't need to be there since we all signed the original check.
